Actually, I have a similar question. I hope you don’t mind if I hijack your thread goirish75. I am placing a cache and it won’t have any puzzle to solve and it will be at the posted coordinates. The cache will have a lock on it though and so finders will have to unlock it with a combination that will be on the cache page. Do I list this as a traditional? Or as a mystery?
We have 2 caches along those same lines and they are both puzzles because you have to figure something out to get the lock open.

I wasn’t trying to call out a specific cache, but his comments were of a shoulder shrug nature. He knew it was placed to be easily found, and couldn’t understand how some people were in such a hurry. Very nice guy, and I enjoyed talking with him about the wonderful work he’s doing, too.
We want to emphasize that we appreciate the info. passed on to us by T&B in this forum. We’re concerned that the cache in question may have caused some problems, but are trying not to overreact. We appreciate the kind remarks others have made here and hope this cache still has some life left.
Getting back to the original topic, we agree with Cheeto that we all need to be vigilant and take appropriate action regarding our hides when necessary. As for how to head these sorts of problems off in the first place, we’re not sure, since you can’t fix stupid in most instances. In any case, we can all try to spread the word whenever possible to promote responsible caching behavior.

Sounds like a wonderful place. I’d love to have the chance to visit here some time. Might I suggest making this a premium members only cache, rather than archiving it altogether?
That’s a good idea. Right now, we’re waiting to hear from the property owner regarding his feelings on the matter. If he wants the cache to remain, we will give that a try.
This is disturbing to hear, especially since this is our cache. We are disabling the listing and will most likely archive it, since any damage to this spot is unacceptable. We’ll be contacting the property owner to apologize.
Actually, we’re wondering how to do that, too.
We’ve had good luck with the GSAK support forum under Help in the past. Have you tried there?

In the grand scheme of things, this is minor, but WTMJ 4 news just reported that the new estimate for capitol damage repair is $350,000. Still quite a bit, but a far cry from the $7.5 million estimate from yesterday. Just sayin’…
That’s the cost for gov workers to fix it. I’d do it for half that. 😀
Can I hold the ladder for you?

I hope it does the text justice. I need to say, read the book. When you finish it, pick up a copy of ‘The Fountainhead’ you will not be disappointed.
Read them both in my younger days-Atlas Shrugged twice, I think.

03/03/2011 at 12:25 am in reply to: Thoughts on the budget repair bill and protests in Madison. #1943283We regret any errors in our post as we relied on a source that we trusted. Obviously, reading this bill can lead to a major headache pretty quickly. We reread P.125 Sec.9115 (the part about taking money from the pension trust fund) and this does state that the $28 million will go to pay health care costs, although we’re not seeing the part about the state not paying anything after 2013. However, again, the legalese is challenging for a layman to interpret. Other analyses we’ve read do mention full employee contributions after 2013, so that remains unclear to us.
Again, we apologize that our post contained inaccuracies. However, our main purpose was to call attention to the fact that this bill is pretty far-reaching and to get folks to look at it more closely, not to argue whether or not it’s a good idea. In that, we hope we succeeded.
