The only program I know that will import a .csv file is Microsoft’s Streets& Trips, but that won’t help you get them into your gps.
I recommend dropping Clyde from GSAK an e-mail. If he doesn’t already have a work-around maybe he will make one for you.
This is what you get for using Excel.
Welcome to the fun!
Prepare yourself for plenty of great times, and few scratches. If the mosquitos are not out, the woodticks will be.
I’m not sure if they would approve it, but i’d like to see a Wisconsin TB Grave Yard.
Comments approvers?
John, it mike make it easier if you start out looking for caches with a low difficulty & terrain rating. After you find a few easier ones, you will understand a little better what to look for & running your gps will start to become second nature.
Looking for micro-sized caches in snow can be impossible even for a seasoned cacher.

This brings about an interesting question. For logging purposes, how do you know what the coordinates are at the tip of a chuch spire?
Benchmarks can be cool if you keep your expectations low. There are a lot of listed benchmarks out there that are gone. Also the map datums are different and actual location might vary due to the different survey methods.
With the lack of “treasure”, it’s not as fun for the little ones, but I find there is always some satisfaction in finding something using using a map & compass (or gps).
For the record… i’ve found more benchmarks while hunting caches than I have while hunting benchmarks.

Welcome to the first ever WI Geocacher’s Trivia Contest!
Each day of the contest, there will be a new question posted. The questions will all vary in difficulty, and all teams with correct responses will receive points for their correct answer- 3 points for the first correct answer, 2 for the second, & 1 point for each additional team who submits a correct response.
The first player to reach a total of 50 points will be declared the winner.
Members may enter the contest at any time. In order to win, you must be a WGA member with a Wisconsin cache find within the previous 30 days.
Questions will be based on the following topics-
* Wisconsin Geocachers and Geocaches
* Wisconsin Geography/Topography
* Wisconsin State History
* GPS/Map UseOnce the question is posted, DO NOT post your answer on the boards. E-MAIL your WGA username along with your answer to ********
At the same time the next new question is posted, the answer and winners for the previous round will be posted along with current point totals.
The game is played within the post that follows this one. Look to that post each day for a new trivia question. New questions will be posted between 5-10pm each day.

Just carry your windshield in and show them.
If you can show the park staff you already have one, then another for your second vehicle is sold at the discount rate.
Both of the vehicles being stickered must be registered to the same owner address.
Our parks need every dime they can get. I hate to think that anyone would get a discounted sticker that was not really for their second vehicle.

Oh wait. That was two questions.

The thing to do at this point is play it as if the policy has been in place. If you don’t get permission to hide a cache, it will be removed once the policy is in place if you have not taken the proper steps.
I tend to believe that even long after the policy is in place, we will still have plenty of park employees who know nothing of it. It’s up to the hiders to make the introductions and get the permissions, or else we will all have a black eye in the future.

Canoeocopia was pretty neat. Now we need to decide on a kayaking trip in the Apostle Islands or to return to BWCA. Hmmm…
I hear that! I’m trying to figure out how I can swing the Apostle Island Kayak Symposium, the WGA Campout, the Door County Kayak Symposium, and a few days paddle camping the Flambeau all in the schedule.
Maybe I should become a teacher so I can have my summers off work.
Wow Ken, that’s a major cache find!
Any high points in the conversation? Maybe in the future we CAN get a new log type for event temp cache finds.
Thank for yet another great step in making the WGA strong!
Just read the post from What’s Next? and remember seeing a short female with an orange “Life is Good” sweatshirt.
Better late than never, I guess.
Canoecopia was much more crowded than I remember it being last year. I sat in on several great seminars. Now it’s time to plan some paddling.
Ice, Ice, go away!
