I think I understand what you are suggesting.
It would be great if geocaching.com had seperate log types for events and temporary caches hidden at events.
Unfortunately, all you/we can do is suggest such a thing to the staff at geocaching.com and wish that they would implement our idea.
I’ve had good luck with the Garmin Legend but I think to properly answer the question we need to know what they are going to do with it & what features are needed. I’m under the impression they are not going geocaching.

I find the whole concept interesting regarding the legalities of the issue. It’s not very sporting really, but I guess if you enjoy the taste.
I plan to be there on Saturday. The Wilderness Medicine seminar is at 10:30, so 11:00 probably won’t work for me. I’ll be wandering through the exibitor booths on & off throughout the day. Keep you eye open for a guy with geocaching-related shirt and a bad haircut.
Glead to hear things worked out ok for you.
Now stop screwing around and start putting together some outlandish caches for the campout!
I’ve always tried to write a decent log and appreciate and enjoy when others do the same.
Check out this FEB 25th log I recently got on one of my caches- Crash & Burn
My first request to the DNR would be to give us a list of contacts (including e-mail adresses) for each parcel of state land. These contacts should be familiar with geocaching and the policy. We shouldn’t have to hunt people down only to find out that they have no idea what we are talking about.
Geocaching is as common or will soon be as common as horseback riding or snowshoeing. It would be ideal if the state park websites had a page that laid down the park managers guidelines BEFORE a geocachers goes looking for a place to hide a cache.
I would also respectfully request that the 12 month rule be made a suggestion that can be overridden by the park manager.
The best campers and the best pancake flippers! It’s going to be a great campout!
I would like to congratulate the new board members and thank all the board members for taking time out of their lives to make the WGA work. Yours is a job that a simple “thank-you” may never be enough.
Don’t forget that it takes almost an hour to walk from one end of O’Hare to the other. I found that out the hard way when I had to spend the night there after missing a connector flight.
Ken if you still have this, i’ll buy it from you at the campout. Just think of the nifty caches one could make with a chainsaw.
Cute short blonde with a pretty smile?
Answers to “Kat”?Haven’t seen her.
The contest will begin tomorrow night. There will be a new thread started in the “General” forum that will recap the contest and the first question will be posted. There will also be one added topic for possible contest questions that will involve GPSr’s and using coordinates/maps.
I hope that everyone enjoys the challenge!
Very nice screen shots Energysaver- Thanks!

It can be done to any cache page. For an existing cache page, select “edit listing”, and paste the code in the long description block where you want the logo to appear.
Also make sure to check the box that says “The descriptions below are in HTML”. This will effect all the text in the block.
If your pages are not in HTML, you will have to enter the tag “
” at the end of each line where you want a carriage return and a “” anywhere you want to skip a line.
There are many sites on the web show simple html you can use in your cache pages. One of my favorites is- http://www.w3.org/MarkUp/Guide/Overview.html
