100 is the milestone of much learning and many memories. Congratulations on doing it so gracefully!

Congratulations on another great milestone… for some reason I’m glad I have never seen the “Uncle-Fun Dance”,(scary stuff) but I commend you regardless.

I posted a big congratulations once already, but it seems to be invisible. It has been great to share some caching time with you Bec! Onward to the next biggest mudhole……oops, I mean cache. Camp On!

WOW! What else can I say? Bob & Pat, you know how I feel about this. (#@*&) It’s wonderful to have such great people out there hiding and finding. Congratulations, and thanks for all you do for WI geocaching.

It sounds like you have the right idea- buy cheap and therefore don’t be afraid to use the thing!

I don’t have anything to compare it to, but I use a 5 year old Handspring Visor. It is basically the same thing as an early Palm Pilot. It uses a Palm OS and has 16 MB of RAM. It has a seperate cradle which hooks to the USB port on my PC for uploading data. I have never used all the memory, and I usually have 800-900 cache pages installed. It was about $150 new. I also use it to store my phone & e-mail address book, and scribble notes at caches.

There are so many options out there now- Windows OS, color screen, mega memory, etc. I can’t see having all that for my abusive purposes.

in reply to: Cachew walks 900 in Arizona #1756116

Was that “in” Arizona or “at” Arizona?

Congratulations on such an inspiring milestone!

in reply to: Do I archive my cache? #1740097

I’d say as long as the cache description along with the terrain and difficulty ratings are kept up-to-date, why not leave it?

If no cachers are likely to enjoy the hunt in some way, then I could understand archiving it.

in reply to: database software w/mapping #1747856

I too was suspicious of the post. The software does look cool though, if you have MapPoint for the mapping integration. I’ll be happy to Beta test a free copy.

in reply to: Up Nort’ caches #1741647

Although i’m not lucky enough to be living there (yet)- I have to agree wholeheartedly.

Southern WI is about great event caches- Northern WI is all about location!

in reply to: Appleton newbie looking to learn Geocaching! #1740090

Wecome to the WGA Alex! There are several folks here that are from your area.

After you have gotten some pointers on geocaching, i’ll take some pointers on my roll.

    See you on the trails!

Unfortunately, the Fleet Farm chain and the Farm & Fleet chain are not associated with one another.
