Brew runs the script manually whenever he has time. Once or twice a week works fine for me.
Nice Web site! If you haven’t yet, check out the program GSAK (Geocaching Swiss Army Knife). Also, your PQ can be put on a PDA, so you can have all the cache pages with hints in the stroke of a stylus.
Yep, there is a problem. Send me an e-mail and I can send you back a pocket query if you would like. russ@cathunter dot cachechasers dot com.
As the Yellow Jeep Travel Bug fever is starting to wind down, it is surely not dead.
The first drawing for 1 of the 3 REAL Jeeps being given away is in 9 days.
Jeremy says that so far the Jeep 4×4 Travel bugs have traveled a combined total of over 881547 miles. That is going to the moon and back over 1 1/2 times. Pretty amazing!
http://jeep.geocaching.com/If it’s scenery you want, stop at the border and do “Nectar of the Gods” and “105 step cache program” in Osceola. They are in walking distance from one another, and both might take an hour in a rush. Just don’t fall!

I hope to be in the Pewaukee area this weekend caching with my Etrex Legend- if you want to get together for a bit, e-mail me at [email protected] dot com
I’d love to hunt some more of the caches in that area. The Dells tends to be too crowded this time of the year, so this may be an ideal location to set up geocaching base camp. Put me down for the spot under the trees, as far away from the screaming children (and parents) as possible.

Yep- when you make a cache page, the map that appears is a rudimentary one taken from http://www.census.gov/geo/www/maps/ .
Then, within some period of time, (hours or maybe a day) the map is replaced with one from microsoft streets & trips running on the geocaching.com server. When you click on the map, it links you to http://www.mapquest.com/ , which is actually another branch of AOL.Just another example of the work that goes on behind the scenes of geocaching.
It should also be noted that when a cache is first approved, the map on ther cache page will be a rudimentary one. Within a day or two, there will likely be a better looking map in place.
Hey Bec…..
If I happened to be around that weekend…. where would I be camping?
Way to go Jeff! You will have to show me how you do it sometime!
Bob & Pat……You are my HEROs!
Ok, well, maybe not… (damn them anyway)
A Big congratulations, regardless!
I loved the idea, and I think it’s probably a great unit. The one downfall is that I doubt it is any where near as rugged as most GPSr’s. This is the only reason I have not jumped on the bandwagon.
What can I say other than AMAZING!!
Way to go Ecorangers!!!
I would say marriage is a lot like geocaching-
No matter if you are sharing a wonderful moment or the occasional muddy hole, both lead to memories you will always cherish.
Congratulations on your recent milestones!
