I was looking at the possibility of staying longer than the weekend… thus boats, bikes, etc. are all good to go!
Congratulations Prostreet! If all your finds were as good as your hides, you’d still be at 50.
I’m not in your area, but I can tell you I fit over 3/4 of Wisconsin in my 16MB Garmin Legend. If you pick out too much area, the program will tell you. I do not see any noticable difference in processor speed regardless if I load in 1 county or 20, so I just load the entire area I am likely to travel. If i’m going on a long trip, I bring my laptop so I can change the mapset in my gps as needed.
Lots of people here that are happy to help, and we are all really just beginners. (well, maybe not you Lil Otter)

Good going! Keep it up and you can leave your dad in the dust in no time!
Here is a link to the DNR site for the park-
Hartman-CreekI was looking at bringing my boat, but see there are no motors allowed. Might have to go buy a kayak sooner than I thought.
One Hundred!! Excellent to see some of the more northern teams hitting big numbers! Congratulations!
Something about 700 just seems unreal… amazing!! Congratulations on all your finds!
What you want to do is edit the “GPX Spinner.ini” file. Assuming you did a standard install, the path should be “C:Program FilesGPX SpinnerGPX Spinner.ini”.
Once you open that file, all the available formats are listed there for your viewing pleasure.
You want to change the line that reads-
“Waypoint is the name for waypoints in your GPS receiver. Historically, this has been the equivalent of %C%I, But you may find it more useful too show the actual name of the cache instead. You could also include the
placer and/or the difficulty/terrain ratings if you desire. See the table of Format Specifiers above for more information.Waypoint_Format = %N”
Change to
Waypoint_Format =%C&ILet us know if this helps.

I noticed they were on the move yesterday and today was the clincher! Congratulations to Curt and Marilyn on a great milestone!
I take it that wiracer24 won’t be beating you to 300?
I accidentally found REI one afternoon while caching, and bought an Aurora LED headlamp like Grousetails and SBHTT spoke so fondly of. My night caching has since been more successful, and having that free hand back is great. Now all I need to do is figure out how to strap my Garmin in front of my eye, and i’ll be hands-free!
Not only is it back, but I believe it may win yet another “cache of the month” award!
A “Must Do” for all!
Although you cannot claim a “find” for re-visiting a cache, I see no harm done in occasionally grabbing a TB IF you are helping it in it’s goal. I might even go out of my way to do this if a bug has been stranded in one cache for an excessive amount of time. Some people seem to have a greater interest in hunting travelers than caches, but to each their own, I guess.
Most importantly, don’t hold on the bug! Get it back in another cache ASAP. On my TB page, I request cachers don’t take it if they are going to have it more than a couple of weeks. It’s sad to see how many travelers have ended up HERE[This message has been edited by Cathunter (edited 11-30-2003).]
