We were so proud of you for “almost” making it through the day w/ out hitting dirt! We also thank you for the laugh…how’s your wrist?
And I’m famous for not logging adventures!
MBThere’s been a walk in the planning for over a week now. Sorry I didn’t post a note sooner.
Commander Bob and I will be walking with these guys on Friday. A couple of other Team Badger members will be along as well. E-mail me if you’re interested in joining us and I’ll let you know once the plan is complete.

WOW! That’s sounds like a lot of fun…hey Team Badger, feel like working on this one? I’ll look online after work to see who’s replied and we can go from there.

LOL!
MBCount us in…looking forward to it.
MBThough small, a group of Team Badger members met up for a day of adventure yesterday. We had a great time ridding ourselves of some pain!
Thanks to those who joined us on our venture! As always, it was great to see you, and even better to walk with you. The team did a very nice job working together to complete the series.
In Team Badger fashion, one member slipped away from the rest and hid a memorial cache. Watch for that one to be released.
The Pained Team:

and our newest members, LightningBugs Mum and LightningBugs BoyThanks to Natloh for stopping by for a painless walk and a quick send-off.
Till next time…
WOW! Don’t listen to the “bad” placement advice! There is no such thing as placing a cache too early in your game! There is no need to find 1, 10, 50, or even 1000 first! If placing a cache is what you want to do, then by all means, DO IT!!! Never let anyone tell you that you shouldn’t place a cache! As stated in my earlier post, there’s always someone who will disagree with you so just go and do your thing!
While it’s true that you may gain a better sense of what you want in a cache hide, waiting isn’t going to change your desire to place them. As long as you’re following the guidelines set by Groundspeak, and enforced by the Wisconsin volunteer approvers, you won’t have a problem.
Some of us (myself included) have 1000+ and only a few hides. If only I had the desire to hide more… In the mean time, I’ll keep searching for what you hide!

Cool!
I’m not quite sure why a new thread was started w/ the following, but it was so I cut and pasted it here:

I just want to make a comment about our cache reviewers. They do a great job and I KNOW they really don’t have it out for us. When placing a cache just do the best you can and the reviewers will help out with info on how to make it better. For my sanity… I keep all my stages or simgles 528+ ft apart from my other stages and from anything else. That way I shouldn’t have to worry. I also put a note to the reviewer that I have done so, but sometimes they DO know more about what is out there and do have to have us move stuff.
Anyway… we really do appreicate the awesome task these people take on for reviewing and appreciate it all. So, place you caches, have them reviewed, fix what ya gotta fix and lets continue making Wisconsin one of the best states to cache in!!Thanks Reviewers!!!

Seems to me that this should have been posted on this thread, but…whatever! (Can you say “back-pedaling?”)

I have noticed that when I turn on more of the features on my GPSR, it does slow it down a bit. But it only takes a couple of seconds for it to catch up. I also know that CB’s jumps in an out of signal lock often, and mine VERY RARELY loses satellite reception. In the end though, we usually end up searching the same area for the hootie.

Oh well….such is life I guess. Can’t say I’ve ever had much of anything just HANDED to me. Except a Parking ticket once. LOL
WOW! That’s quite a statement! The cache I noted earlier, GCG95H, was approved over two years ago. The game has changed since then. Some good…some bad.
I don’t believe that the approvers “have it out for” ANYONE! They have a set of regulatons they have to follow before activating a cache. Though it may be different than in past years, it’s still a set of regulations they aggreed to follow when accepting the job as a VOLUNTEER approver. If you are having issues with getting approval on a cache, perhaps you should ask what they would do if it were their own cache. Perhaps they can help make it something that will pass the guidelines set by Groundspeak.
I also don’t believe that anyone has had a cache approval “handed” to them. While we may at times not have agreed with a cache, it doesn’t matter. The approvers found it to meet what Groundspeak allows, so the cache was activated.
I for one am very happy to have this very small group of VOLUNTEERS looking out for our caches!!!

Gotta agree with ya there CB&MB….. go with a Garmin user and run in circles. ROFLMBO
Okay…to clarify…I, MB, made that post. CB is a Garmin man. It’s okay, we have great balance! Though he often loses reception, he does a nice job of just feeling his way around and finding the “hootie” at just the right time!

Welcome! Sounds like you believe the same thing many of us do! Location, Location, Location!
Happy Caching!

It’s been done before, and very well I might add! MR Andersen & Geo Twins did it in June of 2003 (and won COTM in AUG 2003).
The cache, Greybeard’s Lost Treasure (GCG95H), is one of my favorites.
