It’s simple really…just take a Magellan user along with you! You’ll arrive at the cache just fine.
(hee! hee!)Once you’re a paid member you can “zoom in” on the maps, identify a particular cache on a map (along w/ 20 or so others), not mention the fact that you’re also helping to support the Groundspeak site.
**NOTE TO THOSE EASILY OFFENDED**
****DON’T READ THIS NEXT PART****To step on toes here…Once you pay, you’re no longer a free loader!
(And anyone noting that CB&MB does not hold a premium membership needs to look at Commander Bob and MajorBrat…we thought paying for 2 accounts was enough…didn’t think paying for a third was necessary)We checked on the “Events” thread before listing a date. There were only three events showing, and none were on that date.
Sorry to those who are doing the meet and eat, but we will still be in the Kettle that day.
Perhaps if the “Events” thread were up to date…

We’ll post the meeting place when we get closer to the date.

He says that because there are many accomplished cachers who still don’t add the “r” when talking about their gpsr’s.

What’s so hard about that?

add these to the correct ones from above:
1…and jump rope while we grab the cache.
2 or 3…and leave our frisbees in the car.
4…while not chewing gum and rubbing our bellies.
5…with any of the Team Badger Members in tow for blazing trails, paddling the boat or taking the snorkel to the right location.quote:

He left Jeff off because he didn’t want to be reminded of his own caching adventures that day…
We heard mention of the hike after our late return to the shelter…we were walking out to the end of the earth at the time of the “easy cache hike”…didn’t get the complete story until reading this thread.
It’s so humbling to hear about these types of things. We’ve known Cachew for a while and have spent a lot of time w/ him and his family on a personal level, so this doesn’t surprise us one bit. This is a man with a bad ankle of his own, in need of a cane to walk through most caching adventures. It doesn’t surprise me one bit to hear that he put aside his own pain (and don’t let him lie to you folks…he was in pain!) on behalf of another…not a surprise to me at all!!!
Having done Jeff’s caches earlier in the day, we know what kind of hills they were walking. BLAH!!!
I’m glad that everone returned safely! Thanks Ruth for hanging in there w/ John! You think you didn’t do anything, but I’m willing to bet that your presence alone was a comfort to the carrier of the human backpack. And I KNOW he loves his water!!! (Hey Col…looks like we may have a new watergirl… …)
Thanks for helping the girls out you two! Where do you find the icon for “cache in, crash out?”
MajorBrat
I believe the link she was modestly referring to is: http://www.margotannekelley.com/N43_08.251_W089_26.375.htm
Way to go you guys! Are we still allowed to cache with you now that you’re television and print stars? I’m …tear…so…tear…proud…sob!
Seriously…that’s awesome and I agree w/ the fact that the series is great. I only wish I’d gotten to finish it! Blah!

I’ll be going into the Waukesha area next week and want to do a little caching there. Since my time will be somewhat limited, could someone recommend some of the caches they enjoyed? Thanks for your help
We just did a Waukesha run a couple of weeks ago. We were w/ WISearchers and had a lot of laughs. From what we saw most caches seemed to be pretty much in and out. We hit 21 in about 7 hours w/ a stop at Denny’s for breakfast and an end at Culver’s for dinner. So…just pick a bunch and go for it. You could follow our tracks for the day if you want fast finds.
I will say that the “monkey” caches were a highlight of our day…but it could have been the team antics rather than the cache…who knows?!
