Hey Tony, why not put the file on a disc, that way if anyone would like it for future use you could load it back on the puter and email it to them. In fact, wouldn’t it be cool if we all did that. If after planning our trips, we posted our basic route on here. Then others who plan to travel the same directions could get the files.

Had I seen this last year I could have offered up Beloit to Dallas and Beloit to South Carolina. Also, my daughter is moving to San Diego this month. I’m supposed to be driving her out there, so I’ll have that file (anyone already have it?… …).

ps. don’t forget about the palm files!

How about the Anniversary Cache of the Celebrate In Style Cache?! Page could read something like, “Well we did it, we got to celebrate 2005 Rhythm and Booms via the reopening of the Madison Parks to geocaching. It took some doing, but we were able to have some fun, meet new cachers, catch up with old (no Commander, not you) ones, talk about cachers…uhm, that’s caching…and sign a couple of logbooks.”

You’re on your own after that! (Hee! Hee!)

Actually, he only has 131 cache finds. He doesn’t like to hunt them…he likes to hide them! I’ve been in contact with this person via emails on more than one occasion after someone I travelled w/ was hurt while searching one of his hides. His opinion (as expressed in the emails) is that if he doesn’t hide them there won’t be any to search for in that area. He’s very wrong…what he’s doing is ruining it for people who would gladly hide and maintain caches on a permanent basis. He saturates the area leaving no parks for others to use.

There are many people who hide many caches and maintain them well. Or at the very least check them if someone has issue with them. I don’t think you should hide one if you’re not going to keep it going and in good condition! But that’s me…what do I know?

    Just my 2 cents worth.

You’re not talking about me, are you? I know I’ve got over 1000 finds. But I really do have a few hides as well. I even maintain them (regular checks as well as “special” runs if someone posts a no find. You aren’t talking about me, right?

I’m constantly ducking under cover or changing the contrast on mine. It’s the pits and only got worse after I added the screen protector…Hmmmm….scratches or scratch-free? Uhmmmm…scratch-free and duck & cover.

Okay, so I knew that…I had in fact edited the post but for some reason it didn’t go through. What I was saying in the edited version is that instead of condemming Brian for what he’s doing in Milwaukee, perhaps you should spend your time trying to find out who will be doing the distribution in Madison. It’s not that far for you to drive and perhaps you could get one of the bugs that they will be passing out.
Last year I missed the distribution date but didn’t worry about it. I just watched for the bugs. They gave me an excuse to drive a little further than normal, to walk a little further than I wanted to, and of course I spent more time caching in general. And in the end…I had my share of them and am looking forward to the same thing happening this year.
