Welcome…I’m not sure when the Janboree is, but there is an event in FT Atkinson this month. http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_details.aspx?guid=63c7d575-5b30-48fd-9f00-6e598c844640
It should be a good time.

Do to family and work commitments, Bob and I haven’t been able to do much caching lately. We have noticed when we do get out that there have been bugs showing on cache pages and have not seen them in the caches. Perhaps they were actually there but we didn’t notice them because the tags weren’t on them. We’re going to be able to get out more in the coming weeks, so we’ll keep an eye out for these bugs.

    My question is this:
What the heck is the point of taking someone else’s tag? It’s not like you can put it on a bug of your own and send it back out. Seems senseless to me!

Hey, I thought there was going to be a link so that we could all order. What’s that about? You holding out on the Commander lady?

Calm down lady…we don’t want anyone getting about whether or not I have a heart!

Some rubbing alcohol on a cotton ball easily removes the “gummed up” junk.

Is this team name used by him or did he like ours and decide to market it?

in reply to: Removing park sticker from windshield #1741120

Or why not use what they do now? Lots of places use stickers for entrance and/or parking. The only thing that I don’t like is that they are so large. (Between work and play, I have 3 stickers on my windshield.)

Hey! Where did this come from? Team Badger has a coin and no one told us? Hmmmmmmmmm……………..
(Jennifer…please let us know what’s up here. Thanks!)

While the technique is a good one for removal, due to the new year, I have to think that he’s asking because it’s time to buy his 2006 sticker. I don’t think he’s trying to replace one from a broken window.

Yeah, right! Like anyone can do anything quietly around here! Congrats to one of our favorite Geocachers! It’s great to hear that you made it to your goal Bec! I too remember you doubting yourself at lunch last year. Way to go!

Hey guys…just got home and looked for info on this. We’ll be there! With any luck I won’t have to make anyone go in twice like last year! Bob wasn’t able to make it last year but will most definately be there this year!

Do you have any co-ords for a meeting place, or should we just go to the sign?

Well, the event date has come and gone. There were a few less people passing through that day than had posted a plan to attend, but it was okay. We had a nice time chatting with people while they were there.

There was no rush to eat and load coordinates. There were no cachers running around the place looking under coffee pots, or salt shakers. No one lifting up chairs looking for a log to sign. There was no travel bug frenzy caused by the tough and log method of trading! There were only cachers, enjoying the company of one another while eating a great breakfast.

Some left arrived early to get a start on a pre-planned cache run. Some signed the logbokk and left for a bit to complete their quest for a coin. Some came and stayed till the group left.

Some came from as far away as Maryland just to log a Wisconsin event. (That was VERY COOL!)

Thanks to all who attended! We had a nice time chatting with all of you. Sorry we didn’t get to spend more time wandering around, it was a strange (but good) morning for us.

See you next month when Team LightningBugs host the next event…in FT Atkinson.

We just saw another thread about this story. It had a different photo than the one here. The photographer took tons of pics, so if anyone has any others in their paper, please let us know. We’d love to see them.

Thanks again for all the kind words!
