First cache found July 2004 – hated the bugs, the mud and bushwacking!
P.S. Trading Addictions July 2007
No more than Basic Math! I can mess that up and DNF occasionally!
I’d rather be looking at the white tail that just walked by!“Cemeteries are living history books, carved in stone.”
Hey Marc . . . I like this quote . . . mind if I borrow it?
Sure would have been nice to hunt ammo cans instead of bison tubes!!
If the ticks are out there in force this year, just wait until the Spring campout at Bong! Bong is notorious for its tick population!
“I don’t do Rocks!” A cache has to be small or larger before I give a rock pile a second look – or it is part of a series that depends upon the Find to complete the series (i.e. Battleship caches).
Pine tree hides are “getting old”. I’ll stay with them until I make the find, but I’m getting really tired of this sort of hide. It’s been done! Over . . . and over . . . and over!
Just a quick thank-you to Dave (Team DeeJay). I posted on 1/29/2010 – I was having difficulty using the updated Geocaching.com site.
The problem was with my Internet Explorer – I downloaded IE 8 and everything is fine. I like some of the new features of the GC.com site!
Thanks Dave
. . . and congratulations on your WGA Election!
I’m having trouble getting to the “State” page under “Seek a Cache” – also having trouble using a “Zipcode” search. I keep getting a message that “Internet Explorer can’t open this Internet Site”. I’m not a techno-geek, so I don’t have clue if this is part of the problems/improvements with the Geocaching.com site – or if it is an incompatibility with my version of Internet Explorer. I do however see the problem with my computer at work and at home. It is limiting my ability to search for caches by anything less than the exact name of the cache.
Send Help!
Interesting discussion! Thanks for the “heads-up”!
Lunch is over! Back to Work!
I’d like to see some sort of designation for “daredevil” caches – caches that only a young person in good shape can chase! Caches placed 10+ feet up a tree, caches placed on slopes with a terrain greater that 3, caches hidden in places that people with common sense don’t go! I realize the Game attracts all kinds, but I get frustrated chasing down the ridiculous!
Hey Tye Dye –
You misseed my favorite Mexican restaurantin Kenosha! Between Hwy 32 and 31, on Bridge Rd is Tacos El Rey. Great Mexican food and very reasonable prices!
P.S. There is another Tacos El Rey on Lathrop Ave. in Racine, too! (same management)As usual, I’m jumping on board a day later with a thought . . .
Question: I know the deer tick carries Lyme’s Disease, but has Lyme’s been found in the wood tick population?
You are willing to Bushwack through just about anything to get to the Cache!
Hey –
Prizes have (finally!) been awarded for the Great Northwoods Geocaching Treasure Hunt.
My sister, bmw57 received a WI geocoin and two TB tags. I received a two night stay in Rhinelander at the AmericInn and a WI Geocoin.
