BBG, here’s your Aug 15th cache GC2W0EJ
We give passing grades to all 261 road signs and utility poles in Washington County we inspected today!
I deleted over 100 of those from my email today. Forgot to change the distance thing for the weekend.
Nice hard rain right now, listening to it hit the roof.
BBG, if you get bored at the wedding, come over for a beer or something. Oh wait, we’re on our way home on the 15th, that won’t work. 🙁 Where’s the wedding at?

I’m laughing at BBG’s post also.
Jim, I agree, based on what I read.
Son’s family dog (golden retriever) has been diagnosed with hip dysplasia. She’s only 8 yrs. They didn’t make sure parents were OFA certified.
Guess we need a bump!
Jim, have you seen the tip about hanging a paper bag to mimic a wasp nest. Keeps them from rebuilding … territorial insects.
2nd to post for Saturday

Pat, I was just about to write that we saw two big fields of sunflowers on 73, just west of 39 a bit but it looks you found them already.
Becca, we are headed west in a couple weeks … taking the grandkids to the Black Hills.
Hope Bill’s appointment gave you good news, Jim. I didn’t finish the Delorme pages and only got a virtual in Taylor Cty. They don’t take very good care of caches in that part of the state, maybe had 5 DNFs that CO hasn’t logged in for a year or two.
Added Hennipen Cty to my MN list. Silly P&G on the top floor of a parking ramp. Not as fun as the archived one in Madison. Wasting time til chosen place opened for breakfast.
Birdin, you need to message me what the thing with your hip feels like cuz mine ached big time all night. Starting the ice and tylenol routine now that we are home.
If I had divided all this up into individual posts, the next FTP would have been mine … maybe. 🙂
Camper set up at Willow River State Park. Grandkids coming to visit this evening. Yay!
Maybe I’ll come visit. Heading to Minneapolis tomorrow, or in 2 minutes, today.
Interesting, we’ll be in Mpls on Tues. Finishing up the 3 counties and 4 Delorme pages I need around Ladysmith today, then heading there. Safe travels.
Any advice from expert paddlers out there? I am going canoeing for the first time and so far I have been told “Sunscreen” and “Hat”. Those are kind of givens for me. I meant advice specific to the water sport. It is a four-hour paddle. I suspect I will be sore later. Best clothes to wear? Important things not to forget?
Gloves?
The only interesting thing that happened on my way home was finding an ant colony inside the cache container. I opened it, shrieked and threw it. Nasty, moldy log that I didn’t sign. Never got any rain yesterday here, but I have been in the Wheelhouse during a storm. Wasn’t good for Sausage Fest or whatever they call it.
