They have great German apple pancakes here! Just be sure to put your order in early ‘cuz they take a while to make!
Of course you may have to be rolled from cache to cache afterwards…

The only problem with that is that archived caches are not counted in that total, so the total count would be off. For example, that total lists 662 for Jeff, but if you look at his latest log, he actually has 680.
A nicer way would be to link to that person’s stats page, but that page appears to be unlinkable. (You can only link to the user info page.)
I played it until high school. I think I still have all my books and dice somewhere, but I haven’t touched them in years…
So I’ve wondered, how do you keep track? Do you have a list of Wisconsin cachers and manually check to see who is nearing a century mark and monitor it closer when someone gets close?
Has JV written a script to pull find counts?
I was wondering if the recent modifications to the user stats page on GC.com would make it more difficult to check.
However you do it, kudos go out to the two of you for your recognition which certainly provides incentive for cachers to go after those milestones! Thanks!

This is what I’d love to see! While most of the caches should probably be 2/2s or less to give people a chance to find them without too much difficulty, I’d love to have one or two caches that would actually be a real challenge to find. Perhaps add a couple of extra door prize tickets as incentives.
Even still, for most websites, clicking on the company’s logo at the top of any page generally returns you to the main homepage. It just doesn’t seem right to have to scroll down to the bottom of the page or to flip my bookmarks open to get a link back to the front page.
Perhaps add a level above the “tree” saying “WGA Home” with a link?
I’ve got 6+1 province. We changed out team name recently on gc.com from “Cheesehead Dave” to “The Cheeseheads” and it looks like both names are counted separately, although if you search for “cheesehead” both seem to come up.
I’ve also noted that the find counts are a bit off. I think if you make multiple logs on the same cache on the same day, i.e. the event caches, it only counts once. That’s probably why people put all their campout logs on different days.

Which is further east, Washington Island, WI or Pensacola, FL. I’ll bet JJ/The Troops will jump on that one.
Looks like the geography trivia forum! Streets and Trips will give you the answer to this one…
Here’s one I like: Everyone’s probably heard the riddle about the hunter who traveled a mile south, a mile east, then a mile north and found himself back at his starting point. He then shot a bear. What color was it? (I’ll leave off the answer for those who haven’t heard it.)
My riddle is, where else on Earth would this be possible?

That’s more like it.Lil Otter, didn’t you mention…?
I’ll put up whatever of Otter’s I find on the trail…
Seriously though, I’ll donate something, but I’m not sure what yet. Might be a ready-to-hide ammo can…
Ooh… I think I know, but I won’t give it away…
I bet the same state is the answer for both…
Well, I can add NY and ON to my list bringing me to 6 states and 1 province.
How many foreign caches have people found?
Thanks! Caching out east was fun, although I did live in constant fear of deer ticks and west nile. So far I seem to still be alive…
It was a great example of how well paperless geocaching can work with a little preparation. Before the trip I generated about a dozen GPX files to cover all the interstates and areas where we would be and used ExpertGPS to condense those down to caches within five miles of the route we were taking, just in case we stopped at a rest stop and there was a cache hidden there.
The combined GPX file (3500+ caches!) was Pluckerized and sent to the Clie. I did find one hangup with that in that a cache that I had looked for had been disabled between when I generated the GPX file and when I actually looked for the cache.
I had the map on the GPSr (Garmin Legend) going while I was driving. SIMBO (my wife) quickly got sick of me pointing out woodsy areas every ten minutes and saying “Hey, there’s a cache hidden right in there!”
Once I found #200 in Ontario, my wife all but forced me to hand over the GPSr for the rest of the trip.
At least the view from #200 was nice!

Well, the third, actually…
I’ve always used Shutterfly for my pictures. The prices get lower as you develop more at a time, plus they always have decent sales.
The one thing I quickly learned is that with having a digital camera, you have the advantage of not having to develop all of your pictures like you would with a film camera. Our camera holds about 90 pictures, but we’ll never develop all 90. We just pick out the dozen or two best ones and send those in. That way we’re not wasting money on developing pictures that looked good at the time, but on further review weren’t really all that great.
We still keep all of our pictures, courtesy of iPhoto. We just don’t print them all.
I second Ken’s thanks. I was starting to get all twitchy…
