The backstory video highlighting why it was developed is interesting, especially to someone who works in the software development industry. It’s always interesting to “see into” a company like Google and the vision behind what they do.

Worth a download… Some of the things it does are already in the most recent version of Firefox and as someone else pointed out, they are certainly not outside the realm of the next IE release.

However, we all benefit from Open Source…. even if you don’t use open source products because these efforts move forward the commercial products as well.

When you think about it, the goals Google mentions should be the goals of any software application…

    Thanks much for sharing this!

    in reply to: Mutil-log multi-caches? #1895069

I chose not to vote for the same reasons other’s have already alluded to. A choice is glaringly missing in the poll which is “I follow the cache owners instructions”.

I have not run across many cache owners/caches that allow (“bonus”) multiple logs on a multi but if I did and I earned ’em I’d log em’…

But it’s not about the numbers right everyone? 😈

On a side note, why list them as a multi if they have separate log books and you expect someone to log it multiple times online? I would list them separately… The only reason I can come up with is you want to bend the .10 rule.

do what you want, you are the owner.

So did any of you get a chance to enter the Summer Melt-down Cointest? I noticed that the coin I moved from Greenville (thanks zoesbro) down to the Milwaukee area ended up at the event in West Bend….

in reply to: Congenital Heart Defect #1894617

My daughter who is now 6 was born with a congenital heart defect called Transposition of the Great Vesicles and had her open heart switch correction surgery at 8 days old. She got to ride in a helicopter when she was a day old. The surgery she had done was invented after we were all born and many children died of this in the past. Before the surgery we almost lost her.. She still has a leaking aortic valve and a small aortic widening they label an anuerism.

She will be on a life-long medication and may need more surgery down the road but due to excellent medical breakthroughs and living near one of the best places to possibly be (Childrens in Milwaukee) she is alive and able to spread her cuteness on the world.

She hates geocaching, and that’s fine by me. She loves swimming and playing on the swingsets. This year we are going to let her try playing soccer. We value every day we have with her.

Every day should be congenital heart defect awareness day. It impacts so many and you aren’t even aware sometimes… Anything like this is worth it to spread the word!

And then there are those cache owners who delete your DNF logs…..

So just keep logging it again and again until they get sick of deleting it….

in reply to: How do I post a photo to a cache page #1894571

I do the exact same as gotta run. The reason why this is “the best” in my eyes is that it does not rely on any other site to provide the content but gc.com itself. So many people use other photo posting sites but those sites can be down or worse BLOCKED by certain employers proxy/filters. The only thing I don’t like about this method is that the images I add to the cache get in the way of the real good cacher uploaded pictures when you view the gallery.

    I scored Coach too.

in reply to: Log DNF’s #1894464

man am I bad at geocaching…..
