to a limo
“Hey Limo driver, drive to the end of that roaed there and make a you-ey and park. Were going to get out and look for something and we’ll be back in a bit”…
“Hey Limo driver, can you stop at that park there and get us as close as you can to that clump of trees over there?”
Anyone cache the “Geocaching” for Wine bottles on “The Mole” last night?? Now that would be a cool event. Make it Beer and I’m game.
It sounds like this person as you have said, only wants to spread hate and disrupt society. This is the kind of person I choose not to listen to.. kinda like other nut jobs on television blabbing all day about this and that.
God Bless America!

just placing a cache at a business is advertising
It depends on what said business does…. Not all businesses sell products to the general public.
And not all commercial/industrial properties have obvious advertising for the company present where the cache might be hidden.
never had to remove unmentionable items from micros
I suppose it’d be worse living near Las Vegas and maintaining micros there… (of course we all know it’s all about the virtuals down there…)
Let’s not forget that altoid tins are typically listed as micros and geocoins can be moved through these types of hides.
Be careful when buying glow sticks from dollar stores as swag. I’ve had them break open when my kids are playing with them and it’s a heck of a mess and it stains clothes.
I agree, a micro in a woods is a rather disappointing cache in most cases (present creative cachers excluded)
However, so is a stale old ammo can with already mentioned “swag items” waiting to be traded or cleaned out.
I guess my point would be regardless of the size a cache can be crud or it can be of good quality depending on the cache owner’s intentions and maintenance.
Look at it this way.. (maybe this is a good idea for a bumper sticker or T-shirt) “I’d rather be finding a wet log sheet in a 35mm on a dead end guard rail…” or “Spending my day finding micros in parking lots is better than a good day at work.”
now that’s where I lost my key…
How is this thread an announcement?
Variety is the spice of life.
I opted to leave my Garmin in the truck since Hemi brought his too. Didn’t want to risk too much equipment to the river, though when I think about it, we should have risked mine, it’s cheaper to replace.
My camera took the dunk and survived.
Interestingly, my cell phone did not. I think it was coincidence though and that’s my story and I stuck to it as I asked for a replacement 🙂 It was acting funny anyway so I chalked it up to that rather than it’s brief swim in the Fox.
I will not soon forget challenging the mighty Winnebago in a canoe.
Thanks for the congrats everyone.
Onto 700.
Shane
Congrats!
Cram Island, now that sounds like more canoing fun!

interesting… I’ve never seen or bought waterproof match containers at the Target’s by us. The only place I’ve run into them is at Walfart.
Tanks for the heads up tip on the sale. WIll have to check it out around here.

As on cue, my spam filter (the wife) deleted it for me before I got to see it. Opened it in the trash bin and read it. Thanks for posting this as a heads up again! -cheeto-
I have had atleast one puzzle in the past that “starts at WP #1” and soo many people “don’t get it” or just ignore the listing. I even put text on the page that says “start at the posted coordinates” and they still didn’t get it. The “puzzle” was simple.
It’s just a byproduct of all the fear, anxiety, etc. around these mystery caches. Many are sooo easy and soo much fun but they go ignored by the masses. Too bad for them.
That templar one sounds intriguing to me as well but anything requiring a water vehicle would be a rather big ordeal for me. Pondering a closer water-crossing lonely find though for an upcoming milestone.

LOL…..and do you have any suggestions?
this is kinda like when I answer the phone and they ask if my wife is here and I say yes and then nothing else. then I ask if they want to talk to her.

But to Hemi’s original point, it is not cool to replace a cache like was done in the case of Barefoot Children in the Rain. I found that one not so long ago, and it was not a hard find at all.
Want to hear something funny? ANother cacher logged a DNF on this same cache…
Another thing to point out is that many cachers leave there’s disabled for long periods of time and then eventually remedy the situation. I would gather that not everyone “plays the game” as often as some of us others do. In areas where there a lots to choose from, this is not really that big a deal. At some point though they should be updating the community on the status if it goes longer than a couple months…

The cache Hemi references is his Barefoot Children in the Rain cache in Riverside park in Neenah. This one’s been found dozens of times in 2008 and was not on the lonely list. This cacher did this for a smiley…
I think all will agree, replacing a lonely cache that hasn’t been found in eons with permission from the owner is a far cry from replacing a micro without the owners permission that is not on the lonely list and would probably never end up on that list due to it’s location.
