We will have a night cache ready for the event!!
Awesome!! Can’t wait to see your creation.
Anyone else interested in putting one together???
Still plenty of space and so far only a couple people have one in the works.
The more the merrier!
Only 10 days left until the event!!
Many new permanent caches are being placed for the event.
The event is open to all to attend. You do not need to camp nor attend the entire weekend to attend. Stop on by Friday night, or anytime Saturday, or for the Pancake Breakfast on Sunday.
Don’t forget we’re having a separate CITO event (http://coord.info/GC2PW17) on Saturday at Hartman Creek as well. Groups will start at 1pm and 3pm and we will be pulling invasive Garlic Mustard at the park.
Visit the campout event page (http://coord.info/GC2PJZW) for a detailed schedule of events.
If you are planning on camping (or haven’t yet decided!) and have not yet registered and/or paid for a spot on the group camp sites, there’s still plenty of time. Visit the WGA event page (http://wi-geocaching.com/modules.php?name=Events&EventID=392) to register for camping and the pancake breakfast. And the WGA store (http://wi-geocaching.com/modules.php?name=CCart) is still open to pay for camping fees and buy 2010 WGA Geocoins and Campout event pathtags — both can be picked up at the event.
Whether you’re camping or not, also indicate your “Will Attend” on the Geocaching.com Event page to get any last-minute announcement posts made to the event page.
Note: Wisconsin State Parks require a fee for parking and daily/season passes are available at the park office or online. Also, if you are 16+ and are planning to participate in the fishing derby, you must have a valid 2011 WI Fishing License.

Maybe my response was fairly non-commital. We are planning one.
Very cool. Thanks!! 😀 😀
Bump (in the night!)
Still looking for some Night Caches. No one has contacted me indicating they are interested.
There is plenty of room along the trail for many creations and we will help place the cache Friday evening, so don’t be shy!
05/07/2011 at 12:20 pm in reply to: A little Help from Our Geocaching/Pathtag Community Friends #1947697Well, I did my best in bumping up the price in one but didn’t win (as expected).

I have been known to snap a photo or two, and would be glad to take the group shot unless someone else has a burning desire to do so.
Thanks!!!
Bump – Still looking for a volunteer…
There is a Wisconsin 06 Peninsula State Park Campout event coin. I have it now in my collection but it was a search to hunt one down that someone would part with. I’ll show you at the campout what it looks like.

Just a bump for the auctions, they end in about 13 to 14 hours.
I bid on one. Probably won’t win it but we’ll see!

Unfortunatly, anyone can play.
And this is why cache owners need to be active and monitor their cache logs.
Captain and Mate – It’s sad to see a cache get pulled because of the actions of irresponsible players but I commend you for being the responsible (and active) cache owner and addressing the situation.
If we cannot do anything about the idiots that may come along, the best we can do as a community is address issues that may arise with the caches we own and not be afraid to pull a cache if necessary.
