Will there be a picture of the sample posted with the pre-order?? I would love to see the finished product, the chosen design was very nice!

We are holding the pre-sale before a sample has been minted.

Pre-sale will be open for approximately 3 weeks and announced on the WGA forums as well as the Groundspeak coin forums.

Just curious if this is open to everyone or just WGA members and if they are being sold to everyone is there going to be a separate member-only edition of the coin. Looking forward to getting a couple coins. 😛

I believe all members and “friends” (WGA site users that are non-members) can order from the WGA store on this site. The intent of the sale is it’s open to the public.

There are no current plans to mint a separate edition of the coin from the primary edition.

Container: Pipe bomb…I mean, magnetic under bridge cache

Hmm.. Geocaching.com prohibits placing caches on bridges. Nothing says bomb squad call more than that container magnetted to the underside of a bridge.

Thanks rsplash. — If you are really interested in purchasing the LE set of 5 tags and cannot make it to the WGA picnic, I would suggest contacting someone who has indicated they will be attending to help you out with getting a set. The quantities on the LE set are extremely limited.

One more point of clarification on the online order. We need to determine what we can accomplish with our WGA store. We’re hoping to be able to offer a set of 4 (1 of each color) as a single item in the store as well. Plan on a single set of 4 costing $12. ($9.50 + $2.50 shipping/handling).

Once the details of the store are flushed out and we have everything setup, a main page announcement will be made indicating the store is open for ordering both Pathtags and Geocoins. I will also post a response to this thread as well.

Thanks for your continued patience everyone!

Just an FYI – posts like this should use the Puzzle Cache Forum area. Here is the description of that forum area.

Stuck on a particular puzzle cache and need a little help? Solved a difficult one and want others to know about it? Looking to create your own puzzle cache? Note that this forum should not be used to post dead giveaways or spoilers for any puzzle cache.

Please also keep exact puzzle solves off the public forums to respect the cache owner. If you’d like to respond to the OP with the specific answer to solving this puzzle please do so via PM.

I’ve moved this post to the puzzle cache area.

If you go to your trackable item’s page, there is a link off to the right that says “Print Info Sheet”.

Do they still hold the Otto Grunski Festival?

This used to be a huge deal when I was growing up. There was a bike race, running race (the grunski runski), food, carnies, the whole 9.

Then I think they split off the run from the festival and it went downhill from there.

Some googling tells me there was still a Otto Grunski “riverfest” last year (38th annual it says) at Jefferson Park at the end of July. The Otto Grunski Runski for this year is scheduled for Mid-August.

Couldn’t find anything about a Grunski Riverfest this year in my quick google search.

    gyro= year-o
not guy-ro, not hero, and not jeer-o 😉

I purposefully mispronounce it like: jeye-row (slam a j in from of the word eye and say that then row)

My wife hates it and that’s why I do it.

    I’ll never say year-o.

So CITO rhymes with Cheeto? How did that happen? 😯

I don’t know, I always actually said the letters… C.I.T.O. Even at the first one I hosted I did this. It wasn’t until my 2nd one that I heard someone say it like a word… yep they said it like it rhymes with cheeto.

If you’re downtown, don’t forget to stop at the Menasha Grill for a bite to eat. You won’t regret it 😉

in reply to: WGA Pathtags #1926641

My apologies for the delay in getting an announcement out on an online sale of the 2010 WGA Pathtags. There were many things for the committee to consider in how the Pathtags sales should be handled moving forward. We thank you for your patience in this.

This morning a motion was submitted to the WGA BOD to approve an online sale of Individual WGA pathtags. The motion has a majority vote approval.

We will need some time to get the WGA Store setup to handle the ordering process now that the Board has approved an online sale of the Pathtags.

Below is some preview information on the online sale from the board resolution. It will be taking place at the same time as a pre-sale of the 2010 WGA Geocoin so you can order your pathtags and your Geocoins at the same time.

Before I get into that I wanted to clarify what has taken place thus far with the pathtags so everyone understands. The WGA produced 5 different color pathtags as announced prior with the intent to sell LE (Limited Edition) sets of 5 in an acrylic coin holder. These sets include a limited Red Translucent WGA Pathtag. Also as announced prior, we would be selling Individual Pathtags in addition to the LE sets. These individuals are the same colors as the remaining 4 Pathtags in the LE set (Blue, Black, Brown, and Green).

The Pathtags arrived literally the day before the WGA Geo-Campout. Some LE sets were put together and made ready to be sold at the camp-out. Sets were sold and a very small number of individual Pathtags were also sold at the campout. A quantity of LE Sets were held back from the sale so that not all the LE sets were sold at the Camp-out.

We will be offering an online sale of individual Pathtags.

Sale Price: $2.50 each or 3 for $7. (as specified in the passed Pathtags Motion)

4 Tag Colors Available for Individual Online Sale:
Black, Blue, Green, & Brown. LE Translucent Red Tags will not be available for individual online sale.

    Shipping/Handling:
    1-4 tags: $2.50
    5-8 tags: $3.50
    9-12 tags: $4.50
    13-16 tags: $5.50
    17+ tags: $10

Outside of the online sale, Pathtags will also be available for sale:

    1. Singles only will be available at the West Bend Cache Bash

    2. Singles and remaining Limited Edition sets will be sold at the WGA Picnic
