Now I read somewhere that stages of night caches are not restricted by the 528 rule, is that true? Of course the final would still need to be 528 away from other caches….
Anyone wanna take a stab at clarifying this?
I believe that is now true.

I got a catalog from Sportsman’s Guide the other day, and they are selling ammo cans full of ammo. I looked at it and thought, what would I do with all that ammo?
This reminds me of buying mints just for the container.
There’s a video on you-tube that has an aussie (I presume) singing:
“Walk like a geocacher” (to the tune of Walk like an egyptian) and he pronounces it gee-oh-caysher.What’s funny is it irked me when I first heard it and even my son pointed out the mis-pronunciation. But when you sing to it in your head or while on the trail (you know how catchy tunes can’t get out of your head) you’ll want to sing it the way he does and it just sounds better that way! 😉

I picked about a dozen at random and guess what. The scenery never changes. Boy does this sound exciting to drive 100 miles or so picking up caches roadside with no change in scenery. I am curious about the diving icon though, so if someone finds one of these that requires scuba gear let me know.
A Note From the event page (GC24WZ4) on the use of scuba attribute:
We have tried to attach the Scuba Diving attribute to all the E.T. caches. Running a query search for that attribute should get them all for you. We may have missed a few (hopefully not) but this should be an easy search method.
Go with the decals. They’re harder to remove 😉
Oh and to stay on topic, I’d never remove something from another person’s vehicle. It’s stealing in my opinion.
Family/kids activities are advertised. I will be putting them together for the picnic. If anyone else wants to help with that effort please let me know.
I will certainly assist with other things if needed. Consider me on the committee 🙂
Married. Our 14th anniversary is in just over a week (thanks for the heads up reminder! 😉 )
If you aren’t already doing so, you may want to be running a Nuvi Paperless Macro to load all the cache info to the unit. This macro loads the caches as custom POI’s with their proper “symbols”. It also allows you to read cache info and past logs from the Nuvi. The Nuvi model has to support custom POI’s. Google Paperless Nuvi to find a “basic approach” and tutorial. Very helpful to understand the concept of custom POI’s on the Nuvi.
However, I have found that this macro:
http://sites.google.com/site/jjreds012/download is much better after using both. It builds upon the basic one with many more features including multiple GSAK database support, categorizing your custom POI’s, controlling distance for notifications, etc.@RSplash40 wrote:

Perhaps if someone can figure out how to get the online calculator working we could somehow figure out if it could be incorporated into the WGA website? Might be worth pitching to the website committee and Board of Directors? This might be a service the WGA could provide back to the community and give it a more “permanent home”. Just a thought here.
Oddly enough, I sent a pm asking that very question…
Great minds think alike? 😉

Sorry, should have clarified. Looking at how many you have left to find… though it would probably be interesting to do the same thing with all available but it’s more cool (or scary!) to think about how many you have left! 😉
I added total available for each radius in parenthesis since you made me curious!
Nothing will stop a person who wants to share a puzzle solve with others. Nothing will stop the others from finding a puzzle cache they didn’t solve. Owning a puzzle cache means you have to live with that fact.
On the posting a note thing, just keep deleting the notes and ignoring. If you don’t want to add a geochecker you don’t have to. It’s your cache.
As an owner of many puzzle caches in the past, I can say that having a geochecker on there will please many. If your goal is for your cache to be found (isn’t that the goal of placing a geocache) then perhaps you would consider placing a geochcker on there so that the not-so-social types can verify their solve without emailing you.
I have all 4. They are pretty nice. 😀

Great, now you all have access to my bank accounts and credit cards. 😆
You’re assuming I didn’t already 😉
