Congrats!!
Some pics of “truffles” (this is what Lil cheeto calls her)

I resemble that remark…
I noticed that. I never even noticed that lonely Swamp puzzle cache before today… haha
Congrats!! Sounds like you’ve come along way and found a bunch of cache 🙂
thanks ube66 for starting what’s turning out to be a great thread!
it’s really nice to see all of the available options get consolidated in a list like this.
Since marc did not post a link to what he is referring to we can only guess at which of the hundreds of cemetery cache threads he is referring to on the GC.com forums.
I found one more recent post relevant to South Carolina and the law that would ban geocaching in cemeteries there:

This was posted prior to the recent guidelines change.
There was a site update yesterday.
Your welcome for making it more of a challenge 😉
BOD, you out there? Or is this not an issue?
You guys may want to contact Justin (our “region’s” closest BOD rep) or Zuma if you want there attention. They may not read these regional forums.
Congrats!!
Noticed the new banner when I arrived at the West Bend event. Looked great! 🙂
The Lonely game has an “admin” Team Deejay (Wis Kid one of our friendly wisconsin reviewers) who runs queries at the beginning of the bi-monthly time frame (currently July-August 2009) that pull caches that have not been found in a certain time frame. Then those caches are what are “in play” for the lonely game for the 2 months. They are available on the book mark list that is created for the period and in the scoring system on the WGA website.
This cache cannot be added to the list in the middle of the period. Essentially, it was not deemed “lonely enough” when the initial list was created for this period.
The download to my hand held garmin worked great. All of the way points were the numbers.
I managed to get my Nuvi loaded the way I wanted later from the GPX file provided at the download (and shared my approach with those “behind the table” for next time).
It was easy for me to look at the provided paper map, see a number and search on that number in my Nuvi (using Spell feature) and in my Handheld sorted by name. Worked real slick for me.

The best shot and winner of the Garmin Oregon GPS is im n eagl. He was a combined 15.5 feet away from the “best” coordinates for the three targets. (5.5 feet away from Tom Turkey, 2.5 feet away from Darren Deer, and 7.5 feet away from Harold Hoot Owl.)
So now the question is, do they really want to use a different GPS??? 😉
It seems the model I have is consistent in it’s readings based on the places took by those with the same. There are other models that do not have consistency in numbers so it’s obviously not just the make/model that’s involved.
This activity was a lot of fun. Thanks for sharing the full stats. They are interesting.
Congrats to those who won 🙂
