Bump!
2 more to add to your list 🙂
The KFC will be in the campout materials anyway but if you check out the other puzzle you should have the coords in hand in just a minute 🙂 Make sure you read the interesting history lesson if you’re into local small-town history like I am.
This puzzle is for those of you who are afraid of puzzle caches…
I’d like to see a big red check mark next to the cache title for caches that have already been found.
Firefox Browser + Greasemonkey Addon (https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/748) + Greasemonkey VIP Script (http://www.lildevil.org/greasemonkey/) will give you a Smiley Face next to the cache title if you have found it.
You may also want to check out the greasemonkey scripts here (http://gmscripts.locusprime.net/)
Some things here that I use are automatically showing all logs, Log Maximizer (adds colors and other fun stuff to your logs by pushing buttons instead of “coding”), & customize browser title.I will post another posting of some things I would like to see groundpeak add to the geocaching.com website.
However, the above greasemonkey add-on scripts are the main reason why i have switched from google chrome back to firefox when I am doing geocaching related browsing. Once you get used to some of these things like all logs showing and such you will never want to go back! 🙂
Well now I think he’s busy watching music videos on YouTube…
Still more coming…
Congrats!!!
FYI – there are still more perm caches to come. If you miss them you might miss out on a shot at an FTF 😉
welcome to the WGA and geocaching. 🙂
Congrats!!
Haven’t gotten any from the sherwood area yet. Been to high cliff and surrounding parks many times in the last 2 weeks wallowing around in the leaf piles and sticks and have not yet found any.
Good news for those of you attending the upcoming camp-out…
Now lake flies on the other hand are impossible to not take home with you.
Plenty more choices are a coming…
Millions and millions of lake flies…
These guys are pretty hilarious. Loved the cop part and the pine tree comment as well. Thanks for sharing.
And for a convenient list of perms (both old and new) surrounding the high cliff state park check out: http://www.geocaching.com/bookmarks/view.aspx?guid=0e8545b9-e157-480c-9258-f19262d41c8b
I am adding new caches everyday as they come out.
And if you are wondering what other caches to do while in the appleton area why not give a few of these a try: (shameless bookmark list plug)

any question related to fixing someone’s computer… there was a t-shirt once that said something like “No, I cannot fix your computer” or something like that.
While I agree with Mike about taking a look at all the new perms in the Sherwood area (not many being placed in appleton) I highly disagree about the note on temps.
A great group of people put a lot of work and thought into some very creative temp hides in High Cliff. They take you to some great parts of the park. Some took HOURS to setup. Also, we scattered temps and new permanents so that you can do them both on your hikes through the park. Why not do both? You might have some fun. What’s the difference really? Geocaching is geocaching regardless of getting to log your find. You can always log about your overall event experience on your event log.
I have hidden both temps and permaments for this event. In total I will have hidden approximately 10 new caches (maybe a couple more than that). Only 4 are temps. However, they are all caches that I was proud to put my name on and hope are found by many. I also know that some temps will become perms as well this time around if they are not already perms.
I urge everyone to have fun geocaching at the event and not make political stances on logging temp caches. I for one would hate to have to respond personally to these because it would simply mean that I would not participate again if a future WGA event comes near in the future. I am sure no one in our group would like that type of response from our volunteers who work hard to put on a great event (which includes placing permanent new caches and maintaining them).
I know that my son and I will enjoy walking the trails and finding many geocaches next weekend. See you all there!!
unfortunately the hornets are back too!
