it seems that cache logs are not coming through and haven’t since before 6pm today…
our wga recent logs page continues to be useful in this area 🙂
not tough for me 🙂
been too busy to go finding geocaches…
the votes should be public information after each month just like how comments have often been shared about the winning cache.
i feel the nominations are not “pointless” but the actual winner as many have said is often a popularity contest.
considering the location, it sounds like it would have been pretty “easy” for one of the organizers of this event to sit and be there until 9. 😀
Dropped bug
gotta run.. you are hilarious. 😆

Have you ever DNF’d a cache and were pretty sure it had gone missing (and you noted that in your log)? Then, several more DNF’s follow yours, but the cache owner doesn’t indicate that he’s disabling it or has done maintenance. You’d like to think the owner has checked it, but you’re not sure if (or when) you should take the time to go look for it again.
Yep, that’s when you should go pile more sticks where the cache is supposed to be.
Seriously though, this points out clearly another of my gripes. Cache owners who don’t post notes or maintenance logs when they actually check on their caches after inklings that it might be MIA.
Oh and I have to gripe about cachers who lie about finding a cache. Just plain wrong and frustrating to cache owners and others who follow and make attempts at finding potential MIA caches.
Oh and people who don’t log their dnf’s. It’s just a game. Log your dnf’s people.
the moments that a new cache i’ve worked on sits in the queue and thereafter are the most exciting for me…
my only gripe is when people log “found it out in the open” and you go to check on it and it’s still not rehidden. come on folks.. it’s simple to try to rehide something at the ground zero and use any location descriptions given in an attempt to rehide. just because a cache is muggled doesnt mean that we shouldn’t do our best to hide it so that it’s not completely removed.
oh and I despise growing piles of sticks over caches where piles of sticks is not necessary. quit piling sticks!!!!
okay that’s 2 gripes…
04/28/2009 at 12:25 pm in reply to: R microSD Cards required to download Waypoints from gc.com? #1906666I have the same model GPS and I needed nothing special to download waypoints to it. GSAK is geocaching swiss army knife. google it and you will find the install. great program. load the result of the pq into gsak and then there is an option to send to GPS.
I will be there 😀
I will bring a bunch of cache containers including a few unique ones.
Congrats!!
My family is camping there this summer. Neat!
Congrats!

while the medallion goes unfound, geocachers in brown county have a new excuse to give to muggles when asked what you are looking for as you circle and stare at pine trees in the parks.
“why I’m lookin’ for packer medallions of course!”
