I would like to request that a link to http://terracaching.com and a link to http://navicache.com be placed on the WGA homepage.
I second the request. We have links to every other geocaching site. It give new members a CHOICE to visit other venues.
OK Marc, here is a subject true and dear to you.
I request that the WGA outlaw Puzzle caches!!!!
(This request is in jest of course but I’m sure you feel just as strong about puzzle caches and Rogheff does the other sites. And yes, I have 1 Terracache placement and 3 Location-less Terracaches.)1. I consider those other sites as worthless.
2. The WGA only has authority to do certain things.
3. I really do not care.
4. Well, just because!
5. Stop logging, and go out and cache!
1. That IS your opinion. And I fight tooth and nail for you to express it just as anybody else can. Don’t click on the link if ya don’t want to.
2. And That authority is WHAT???? And Who gave it to them?
3. Well, I do care.
4. DITTO!
5. There are only 2 other Terracahes near me and they are a hour a way.
Again Jeremy…..YOUR THE MAN!! 8) 8) Thank you!
Ummm…link says it’s unpublished.

Thanks for sharing the Wiki definition regarding the origin of the abuse of deceased equines. Apparently, I’m not the only one who needs to relax.
Obviously, I was mistaken, and in the spirit of togetherness, we need to fix this dead horse. We can try:
1. Buying a stronger whip.
2. Changing riders.
3. Say things like, “This is the way we have always ridden this horse.”
4. Appointing a committee to study the horse.
5. Arranging to visit other sites to see how they ride dead horses.
6. Increasing the standards to ride dead horses.
7. Appointing a tiger team to revive the dead horse.
8. Creating a training session to increase our riding ability.
9. Comparing the state of dead horses in today’s environment.
10. Change the requirements declaring that “This horse is not dead.”
11. Hire contractors to ride the dead horse.
12. Harnessing several dead horses together for increased speed.
13. Declaring that “No horse is too dead to beat.”
14. Providing additional funding to increase the horse’s performance.
15. Do a Cost Analysis study to see if contractors can ride it cheaper.
16. Purchase a product to make dead horses run faster.
17. Declare the horse is “better, faster and cheaper” dead.
18. Form a quality circle to find uses for dead horses.
19. Revisit the performance requirements for horses.
20. Say this horse was procured with cost as an independent variable.
21. Promote the dead horse to a supervisory position.NOW THAT”S FUNNY!!!!!! 😆 😆 😆 😆 😉 😉 😆 😆 8) 8)

Don’t expect the platbooks to go away. They are required by the Land Ordinance of 1785, which, to my knowledge, still is very much in force. Surveyors using modern equipment of course use GIS and GPS (along with military stuff, surveying equipment is significantly more accurate than anything you would use for geocaching) but the old platbooks are still sometimes needed for tracking down titles.
Back before the advent of the GPS, Land surveyors used”Rods & Chains” as my grandfather called it I think. He was a State Forester and would cruise timber sales and the sale would be “X” rods by “Y” rods. I can remember a story that they surveyed the whole state in less the 30 days by using rods. This was 25 years ago. I wish I would have listened better.
This is pointless, I agree. And until the GC.com loophole is closed and THEY say you can’t do it, let the bellyache-rs belly ache and just ignore it all. Cuz if the WGA starts deleting stuff, it then become the Geo-cops.

Ya know, it’s kind of a mute point until GC.com makes it so you can only log one find/attended a cache/event. How is the WGA going to prevent multiple “attended logs”? …….. Until GC.com changes it’s system, there is now way to stop the practice( At least I don’t think there is…….)
A little help here please. Is this or is this not correct? Other than no temps. being placed at a WGA event?
😯 😯 😯 😯 😯
(ummmmm Ok, I watched it…….I don’t get it…….) 😕 😕
Ya know, it’s kind of a mute point until GC.com makes it so you can only log one find/attended a cache/event. How is the WGA going to prevent multiple “attended logs”? Will it be up to the Reviewers to go in and change a log? Is a secret Geo-police going to be formed? Until GC.com changes it’s system, there is now way to stop the practice( At least I don’t think there is…….)
By the way I voted no and I have never been to a WGA event either.
Caches can be buried on you own property or if you have permission from the land owner. And distance from the highway should not be an issue if the cache is one private property.

Yeah –your HotWheels cache was archived. I actually spoke with one of the big wigs at Groundspeak about the exact procedure that I needed to follow for your cache. He directly told me to archive your cache, cite the commerical guideline and have you send an email to appeals. I was just following orders.
I know — archiving seems so permanent. But I wasn’t doing it as a crabby, nasty thing. Just doing what I was told to do.
When a business or something commercial like that is mentioned briefly in a cache page, I usually disable and ask for changes to be made. Your particular cache has a few extra bells and whistles to it — and frankly I really liked it and didn’t want you to make any changes — hence my direction to groundspeak for a (cross your fingers) exception.

OK, but my question is what makes it commercial?? Just to the name Hot Wheels? Hotwheels is like using the word Kleenex or Xerox. Down south someone might ask you if you want a coke. To them Coke in general means pop or soda pop.
So any caches that reference the names Clue, Monopoly, Risk should be achieved too right?? And any cache in a park should also be achieved cuz you have to PAY to get into the park right? That be should be considered a commercial cache too cuz you have to pay to get in.
Any cache that reference pizza should also no be allowed and there is only 110 listed on GC.com. Any meet and greet that are at a bar, coffee shop, pizza shop or other restaurant should also not be allowed as you just may want to buy pop or a coffee or something.
It would help IF everybody could use or see those same maps. So let me get this straight, you can put hotwheels in a cache you but you can’t call it a hot wheels cache. You can use a Match box as a cache but can’t call it a Matchbox cache. And now the letters KFC is being used but has nothing to do with chicken. So you can put out a travel bug inn or hotel/motel but in order to do that you have to but a travel bug from Groundspeak. But that’s not a commercial cache?
😯 😯 😯 So just like ALL the Wayside and Roadside caches. ALL Caches with the reference to Hotwheels and Matchbox cars should be achieved.
I wait to hear the explanation on this one. How in the world can Hotwheels be considered a commercial cache? You might as well say that you can no longer put little toy jeeps in a cache. Or maybe can’t even say or use Jeep cuz that dang well is all about commercial.
Ya know, it’s gonna come a time when there will be just too many stupid rules and it’s no longer going to make this game fun anymore.
Hot Wheels Mania by Speedfrk and Just4me (GC1ANN4) Here is a New Cache that still says new. There are 3, count them 3 page of caches with the Hotwheels in the name!!!!
Ya, I may just be a little Miffed about this!
