Very well written Zuma. I have to agree with everything you said.
That could be very true. In the Sawyer County plat book there is a road with a name but i have looked and looked and I STILL cant find the stupid road! π π π― . And sometimes the companies just screw up really bad like not putting names on any of the lakes. My dad use to be on the County Board and had to work with some of these companies. Some are just plain bad.
SPRING?????WHERE?????? I now know what you guys down south feel! It hasn’t stopped snowing since Noon!!

Thanks for the help. Now where do I get a platbook?
DNR Office, County Forestry office, on the wall at the County Court house.

so what is the point of platbooks in the age of GPS?
Section corners. And they also yell ya what’s county, State, Fed, private property. I carry plat books of 2 different counties in my truck when I’m out geocahing or bird hunting. Mostly counties I think are using GPSr to mark section corners in mapping and making this info available on line. If you now where a section corner is you can then find the boundary between public and private lands.
Don’t let distance fool ya. Zuma! will travel 3 hours for a FTF.
If there is a real good FTF opportunity, and he does not have to work the next day he might make a run in any direction. But if gas gets any higher, he might think twice or three times before making a run.@Ry and Ny wrote:

Or Zuma! π π π π π

The distance is actually 525 feet or .10 of a mile. Cache saturation is the reason.
I do have a Terracache that is within the 525ft of a Geocache final location. It has been found twice in almost 2 years. There is no way it could be found or mistaken for the Geocache as it is across the creek and up a very steep hill. They can all coexist.
I guess i never noticed it before but there is a cache for page 57? π― What’s it called?
Here is a couple of log I recieved today:
March 24 by HΓΒ€sttanten (338 found)
this was a really wellkept cache in a very nice place.
Picked up a book and a silly string + took a TB on a ride.
Left a button and a 5$ bill.
Thanks for this one!

Nicest cache I’ve ever seen. Thank you. Stuff for little kids, dogs and big kids. Keep this one nice. Thanks.
[view this log on a separate page]I personally do not look to trade anything unless I find something I really like, then I swap a buck or something else if I have something on me like a pin on compass. For me it’s the hunt.
OK, Last time I going to post cuz it was not my intention to derail the subject but ask any “Up Northerner” and they would say unofficial line would be Hwy 8.
True, but Door County is a lot closer to Madison, Milwaukee and Green Bay than Douglas or Ashland County.
Rough distances I took from my Map Source Map.
Start- Patterson Park
to-Madison 275 miles
to-Milwaukee 314
to-Green Bay 236Start Egg Harbor
to Madison-172
to Milwaukee -141
to Green Bay-53Look at this from this point of view. No mater how you say it, The WGA is going to represent the “Majority”. The majority being GC.com and Southwestern WI cuz that where the majority of the players are. Will the WGA Camp out ever be held in Patterson Park or Amnicon Falls Park or Copper Falls State Park? Very, very unlikely cuz the Majority of the people that play this game are down south. That will always be true.
Or Until a UWGA is formed.
