Maybe it does, maybe it doesn’t. But who cares? The WGA is not the WGA website. The WGA is the WGA membership. If the Minnesota association came up with a kick-butt site I still wouldn’t join them because I don’t live there.
Regarding advertising, I don’t know what you’re basing your opinion on. Our advertising should be focused on letting people know we exist. I simply don’t see the logo having any influence on people making their decision.
Do what makes sense in a particular situation, get agreement from the committee or general membership as needed, and move forward on each project. KISS.
OK! Here we go again. 🙄 How many cachers from Northwestern Wisconsin belong to the WGA? How many ven know about the WGA? e.g. My Google post. Cool shirts are nade , but unless you live close to a WGA event, you have to travel 4-6 hrs to get one. We put a link to the WGA on our cache pages. That’s advertising. How does the current logo say anything about geocaching? Pretty blah colors id you ask me. It’s all about impules. The current logo does not give me any kind of impulse.
I liked the new muted back ground. Gave the page some color, some bling. Bling is a good thing.If you lived in a WIsconsin border town, and cached in MN, MI, IL or IA,
would you join any of those groups?

These are my thought, If I get flammed over them so be it.And please do not come back with ” You can run for BOD in the next election and then try to make changes.” Cuz I won’t/can’t run cuz I am not willing to travel 4-6 hours to a meeting or 4-6 hours for campout or picnic but that’s a whole different dead horse of another color.

The dot com site you can transfer caches over from GC. As for the oc site. , I think is cuz OC is out side the mainstream of dot com’s and people are not use to it.
