I received an email from TC this afternoon, it said,
“This is to inform you that your sponsor, ‘*****’, has revoked your sponsorship. If this is a surprise, you’ll need to ask them about it. I’m just an automated bot, and don’t understand humans or any of the things they do. Without sufficient sponsorship, your access to the site has been restricted. You must have two qualified members sponsoring you for full access. I’m sorry for the unfortunate inconvience, but this is a natural part of the process in a sponsorship based community.
I believe this might have been an automated message that has to do with the site closing, and really has nothing to do with my sponsorship being “revoked”
Ya, I recieved the same thing. It seemes that a few of the “old Guard” of TC left and now seem to be at the OC. I have 1 TC and it’s only been found 2 or 3 times Passing Wind as many north of me, but he’s been M.I.A for a couple of years now, but I hear there was a PW sighting a couple of months ago.

Ok, this is a serious question:
Has anyone EVER heard of a non-hunter getting shot by a hunter during gun deer season?
Do deer count as non-hunters? 😉 😉
Ummm…ya. But it was stay bullet. A Doctor, driving just north of Rice Lake on Hwy 53 through some open farm land, was killed. 5 years ago or so.

Just a reminder, that after Deer Gun season, there is still blackpowder season, another doe only T-zone hunt and a late bow hunt season…till the end of December..I think?
Yes, but the traditional 9-day season is when the majority of the hunters are out. At least around here.
Very true. It was just a FYI.

Yep – It’s so much “easier” to have all the members change their settings instead of changing the server time.
Well, why didn’t you do that before ya stepped down? 😉
Well,90% of my 100+ caches are on county land which is public hunting land. I have had a few found during the season and even wrote notes.
Have not had any problems.Just a reminder, that after Deer Gun season, there is still blackpowder season, another doe only T-zone hunt and a late bow hunt season…till the end of December..I think?

You will never see anything mounted in my house; whitetail, walleye wabbit or otherwise, cause for me, deer-hunting is a lot like caching… it’s not about the Points!
Ya can’t eat them points, they don’t even make a good soup. But I will admit, I do have my 11 pointer hanging on the wall and the WIFE asks every year when I’m going to get it a buddy! 😉
Write this down some where. We can do negitive points also. A team D gives allows more than X points -7 points. Or do away with yardage points all together. But if a Kickoff teams score a TD, should it count then?
I have have always thought that it should be just points scored, just like the NFL. Ya get the ball in the endzoze or through the uprights. That’s it.But the thing is , from September on is hunting Season for something. Weather it be grouse, duck, bow for deer, pheasent, rabbit, squirrle, Turkey or bear. And the hunting grounds are open to everyone. Ya want to know how many times I’ve had spandex clad Mnt. bikers try to kick me off a game trail, while I’m wearing my hunting vest and carring my over&under. You don’t have to were blaze orange during grouse hunting, but I do. so people can see me, and not be surpised to see I’m tottinng a firearm. And I have gotten a cacher or two while grouse and deer hunting.
And I will also add that the vast majority of hunters are not our drinking while hunting, but it takes just one idiot to screw it up and make the it look bad for all hunters. I’ll be hunting on my own private land, and I’ll bet I’ll STILL see hunter when I shouldn’t cuz some have total disregard for signs, cuz “They been hunting these woods for thirty years!” Well, a lot of things change in 30 yearsOk, look at it from this perspective. I’m 6’3″ and can reach a good 3 feet above my head. I place a cache in a tree and give it a D rating of 1.5.(and there are no branches to climb and the base of the tree I can just get my arms around it)
Now for someone that’s verticaly challanged, should the cache be a D5 cuz they have to use something special to get it?Well, I know the Hayward Zip code.(54843) has always been screwed up for whatever reason. When you google it or punch it in the center pojnt is about 6 miles east of Hayward. Wnr I punched 54843 into Geocaching.com, it said the closest cache was about 20 east of Hayward.
I thought powerlines wew off limts, like railroad tracks?

The Fantasy Football Gods were in complete control and wanted to send a few messages:
1. Johnny, your team isn’t that great. Watch the smack.
2. Hey Fitzgerald, Remember what a touchdown feels like?
3. They’re hoping you buy a “I beat JC” t-shirt because it’s not pretty seeing a shirtless VG. Contact CacheARRRRRS. I think he bought one.
4. Cheesball may run the league, but we’re not letting him beat Sunshine.
5. We can’t do much with Furfools team.
6. We’re going to let the Nano Haters lead the league before we burst his bubble.
7. Sorry SirC, but it would look too weird if we let Peyton score 96 tonight. Expect to see the Wild Siders on the TOYOTA “Greatest Fantasy Victor” this week. Now that’s funny!
