Pat, I found a can of refelective spray paint at a store in Rice Lake thinking it would be pretty cool and I could make my own fire tacs. I was pretty disapointed in it. I tried it on an ammo can too, and it didn’t show up too good either. I have an experiemnt cache out with two of my HCH containers in the back yard. I took some fine grit sandpaper to the containers and then applied the paint and then dprayed on a clear coat. One can as the glow in the dark pain and the other the reflective paint. The been sitting out for a few weeks now and I will check on them. I curious how the paints will hold up in freezing conditions. The refelectiev tape works pretty good but can get kinda expensive.

Nice story, but 13,000 cachers in the state?
Most of them life north of 64…… 😉
I think there were more geocachers in the woods, at least in the Seeley hills than there were hunters. With most of the land up this way being county land, you can hunt pretty much anywhere. I did hear some shooting but I think it was duck and grouse hunters. Thou I was tempted to pull out my 12 ga and shoot of a couple of rounds when I was driveing down the one of the backroads and came across acouple of cars that I knew were geocaches just to give them a lil’ scare, but I decided against it. I thought it would have been funny…….

I think we both know the outcome of the championship would have been much different had I realized it was 2 weeks long instead of the customary 1 week. The second Monday was an eye opener and caught us both off guard. I would never have let go of my pitching had I known that. Chalk it up to another lesson learned.
Fantasy Baseball has the same problem as Fantasy Football in that the fantasy playoffs are held during a period when teams do weird stuff to their lineups. Baseball lines up their pitching for the playoffs and rests both pitchers and hitters. Football rests guys when they’ve clinched or have home field advantage. A good Fantasy team can look like junk come the fantasy playoffs. Mouthman can manage all he wants, but a lot of it comes down to luck. I try to position my team so I have the best chance at the most luck. 😀
LOL! Ya I hear ya! I too did not realize that it was 2 weeks long either. I think what helped me with my come back was that I had one extra move to make at the end. I would not have dropped a couple of my pitchers that I did that 1st week of the playoffs. That last pickup gave me a win plus K’s and a better whip. It was a very fun season. I had no clue as to what I was doing when I started and I’m still not sure if I do at the end. 😉 😆 .
I made a couple too.See Jonny! There is a reason why I dropped those guys you picked from me…..
Yup, I got it.

What ya talking about?!?!? I do that with ammo cans all the time…..
I really don’t think a room will be a problem, but I could be wrong. AmericInn is were Sandlanders have stayed when Up North. When Mr. & Mrs TE were here a couple of years ago, they said that the Super 8 was not a good place to stay. The cheapest, but gives you the basic room is the Aspen Inn. Just south of town on Hwy 63 . I have another Nite cache (The Ghost Cache)that is in the same woods. I’ll “try” to see if I can get it working and back out after work. If I can’t get it yo work folow the cache page directions. I will be haning close and I”ll make sure it it will be visable at night. This is a trail that connects the two caches. If ya need anything else, please feel free to ask.

Okay, we’re thinking of heading up to Hayward/Barnes for the weekend tomorrow. How much rain and flooding have you guys had, and how much effect will that have had on the forest roads and such? TIA
I know our Black River Falls cache is now on its way to the Gulf of Mexico. If anyone spots a little matchstick with our name on it, grab it, okay? 🙄
Well, my dad said that we only got about 2.5 inches of rain up here. Some of the fire lanes “could” be a little soggy. If you guys make it into Hayward, please stop in a say hi. I work all weekend. 5am-2:30ish @ the Holiday Station Store on Hwy 63 North. Right next to Coop’s Pizza. I think the weather forcast is to be pretty decent too. Fall Fest in Haywaed & Cable too! Any particular cache or series you are looking on hitting?
