How about something like Recommend cache of the month? Go off the recommended list or start a new list. This may blow the KISS logic. But take monthy suggestions, and draw from a hat. One entery per suggested cache. Just an idea.

I clicked on the name on the cache page. I don’t know how else to break this to you, but that’s not The Lil Otter’s profile.

Ya..Lil Otter got real UGLY if that’s her. But it is good too if it was him/ er? her who put it out. Both have been quite for a long time.

I used to use Spelling Cow when I first started posting here, but then it “broke”, so I got out of the habit. When was the last time it worked? I think it was a couple of years ago that I last “checked”.

It was working in the last week or so……..

If they changed the coords and moved the cache after you found it , would you delete your find as it’s not where you found it? The past has happened and the future is still out there.

When you get an adoption, there’s posted a note that you are now the owner. As the owner, you are privy to hints, details that aren’t on the cache page.

Cheezehead, that’s why I added my comments about “opinons”. There’s always differing viewpoints and circumstances.

I’ll not talk about this anymore so as to not enflame anything.

    Please don’t get offended.

No offened at all. And you are incorrect. There are no extra hints or details to the 2 caches or the other caches I adopted at the time. I have had other cachers email me for hints and I ask them to contact the previous finders cuz I have no clue to the locations. I adpoted the cache as a service to my fellow cachers because at the time these were the only Page 104 caches at the time(I think). They are also some of the first cache in the state and were also part of a 52 part series. So your darn tootin’ I’m going to log them as finds cuz I’m just much in the dark as to the cache location as anyone else.
But I do respect your opnions. And we all play the game the way want. Besides who really cares? Ya can’t win and there is no prize.

in reply to: Wisconsin DeLorme Challenge up for adoption #1930684

Well, I don’t want to get into the discussion about logging your own finds, I’ll just add that two of the casche I adopted are 2 of the Page 104 caches. I will put this out there, Do you have to delete you find on a cache after you adopted it? Cuz it’s now yours.

in reply to: Wisconsin DeLorme Challenge up for adoption #1930682

Who say’s you can’t log it? I have a couple of Lil’ Otter caches that I adopted that I have yet to find. But when I do, I’m loggin’ em.

Iuse Geocheck for most of my puzzles. I do not believe that there is a limit.

Coordinates checkers, Some use them, Some don’t. It’s all on how you play the game. Some play by there own rules. There are no guidelines on GC.com about them. How did cachers find puzzle caches before checkers were invented?

WHOA!!! I think I need to screen better. Looks like Hippies might be a ringer. Competion is good.
