Most I ever found on me was 10 ticks at one time. Happened when I was on a trail in Peshtigo. Was like a 3/4 mile walk one way. Fun fun.
Thought about placing a series of caches on this same trail. Not sure if I should due to the plentiful ticks. Thoughts?
10??? HA! I was up in the Barnes are 2 springs ago looking for a newly publised cache that was way way off from the coords. It was suppose to be near the river and we (the dogs and I) were in a swamp. Walked through some grass lands and such and pulled a few tick off as I got closer to the truck. Got the dogs loaded up was was starting to drive home when I looked down at my lap and all I saw was BROWN!!! And I was wearing blue jeans 100’s 😯 😯 Stopped on the side of the road and took the jeans off and spent 10 mins pulling the rest off legs. Got home stripped in front of the wife and tolder to start looking. 30 mins she got them off of me. We hopped back in the truck and took the dogs to the lake. It took us about an 1 1/2 hrs to de-tick them. I had never seen that many ticks before. We must have walked through a new hatch, but I also remeber that there were more than normal ticks that summer too.

I have treated my dogs have pulled just a couple and have not pulled anything off of me for awhile and we are in the woods every day.
OK, 2 in the 2 days. Tick bites around the belt line suck! 😡

I’m sure the winning bid will be some one like Fleet Farm, army surplus store, etc.

Like HeliDood has done, we really like it when the Parking Coordinates are INCLUDED AS WAYPOINTS. We know it is a bit more work, but likely much more effective.
It’s so much easier when they are automatically loaded into the GPSr with the cache location, we’re much for likely to use them! If they are just mixed in with the cache description text, we may miss them, or give them less weight.
Thanks!
So….you want parking coords to all those lonely caches in Sawyer county? I think there is gonna be a bunch next month.

They are going to cover the unit! I do have to return my unit first, they are going to see if they can fix it or they are going to send a new one. I already dropped the old off at UPS so I should get it back or the new one late this week or early next week. They also through in a new carabeaner that is guaranteed not to slip. Very happy with the result. Just going to suck not having it for a week.
You will have a new one by Friday I bet.
This is why it would be very hard for me to own anything but a Garmin.
Had issues with my Map60CSx and was out of warranty and replaced it free of charge and was sent in and received back in 5 days.I have treated my dogs have pulled just a couple and have not pulled anything off of me for awhile and we are in the woods every day.
Garmin had GREAT customer service. I would think they would either fix it or send you a new one asap.

And cheeezehead….tishman has his heart set on the CSX.
I’m thinking of buy one for a back up. I know of 2 cachers from the Duluth area and have 16,000 finds between the 2 of them.
I’m 6’3″ I tend to to place my caches above my head(to keep them winter friendly ya know.0 Now is someone who is vertically challenged, they may have an issue. I would let them claim it as a find. But them some of my hides I do raise the difficulty a bit if was part of the challenge of the cache was in the retrieving. Sorta like putting a cache on an island or over the cliff.
Here is one example of mine. They did find the cache after wards also.

If they gave it the “Old Collage Try” and effort, I’d let the log stand.@Timberline Echoes wrote:
Nice copper and iron mines to visit in the U.P of MI too. We have gone in the Delaware and are hoping to go down in the one in Hougton/Hancock… name slips my mind. We have been all over the grounds but have not taken the car down inside that one.
TEQuincy Mine
Have driven by 1000 times but have never stopped.Another thing. Have you looked at the Garmin Map 60cx??(Blue) It’s the same unit, just doesn’t have the altimiter and a couple other bells and whistles you will never use and is cheaper. I see there are a few listed on ebay too.
