MB. You should be able to change the draft type and the number of teams. At least you can with Football. I don’t think you want the headache of running 4 teams plus your own. I don’t thnk ANYONE will be around here at 5 on Sat. Unless it’s raining. Just my 2 cents. I’ll go with whatever happens.

Reworked my original front design based on feedback. (Thanks!) Any comments via PM before I officially submit would be appreciated.

WOW! Yup that’s it! Not even going to submit mine now.
What program did you use to design it?

There comes a time when the WGA should step in and start to censor its forums. Starting from the actions of one cacher who promotes his “tours” (puzzles or any other)in these forums. There now have been 3 or 4 other cachers who have begun to archive/adopt many or all of their caches. I understand freedom of speech, but when it starts to ruin the sport by breaking “unwritten rules” maybe the WGA should not let these promotions of “tours” happen here. The forum for Looking For Someone To Cache With should be just that, not for setting up group tours. This should be taken to a outside blog page, private webpage, or some other private communications.

Posting it here and rubbing it in other members faces is not helping this matter. I’m glad that our Wisconsin Spirit Quest caches are scattered out over 6 counties in NE Wisconsin and others in the UP of Michigan and not centrally located so a tour would be possible.

In my opinion the WGA has let this go too far in our forums and now it is hurting the sport in general. This is a public forum but it still can be censored, look at the GC fourms, bring up the word pathtag or non trackable geocoin and see how fast your post disappears.

We are not in it for the numbers, with Val being partially handicapped we just enjoy the time we are out together and every find that we can get to together. I can count on one hand the times we have cached with others, and have enjoyed each one. but they were not tours, no one pointed the way, just the best parking coords.

    Barry of sweetlife.

I have to agree with Barry here. I,too, can count on one hand how many times I’ve cached with others. Let’s see..FunkyFinderz once, Bartrod a few times and Barry twice. That’s it.

I’ve always been a solo runner for the most part.

While I’ll cache with one person or two, I’m not find of large groups caching together. That’s not my thing.

Now I wanna say this – for one cacher to give final coordinates of puzzle caches to another that has not solved said puzzles is wrong. That defeats the purpose of the puzzles themselves. With your statement, CJ, it makes me wonder just how many puzzle caches you have found without solving said puzzles.

I can see why certain owners are upset and want to leave the game.

Todd, reread his post. He DID not go on the tour and only logs his solved. And that what he told the tour leader he was going to do. BUT HE WAS given ALL the info.

Per Groundspeak rules, you may not have a geocaching event for the purpose of finding caches.

Picnic, Camp Out and other Events , Oh My! SO the West Bend Bash and everyother event from here on out are banned? SO that also means that you can find temps at an events cuz their not real caches cuz you cant have an event to find caches and temps can be found but not logged are logged but they are actual attends but not finds cuz ya cant find a find at an event. Do I got that right? 😕 Cuz Rules are rules are rules and if there are no rules anything goes but they are not rules but guidlines and guidelines can be bent cuz they’re not a rule, cuz it’s only a game and people can play the game how they want cuz the guidelines say so but there are not rules saying you can’t. SO that’s a about right? Right or is that wrong? Cuz 2 wrongs equals right but it’s actualy 3 rights to make a left but is there a guide line or rule that states that lefts are right and rights are wrong cuz it going to get to a point that no one gives a darn and do just what they want anyhow and who is gonna stop them?

OK I officaly tried to steal this thread, but I honestly believe that what I typed above makes perfect sense to this whole geocaching thinging that no one can win anyway cuz ya can’t, Sorta like golf. NO matter how hard ya try, ya can never win the game. So ya..there ya have it in a nut shell. But your shell may very cuz you may not like nuts so one could say that is how the ball bounces unless it has no air so than it can’t bounce even if you have lots of hot air which seems I have more than enough but can you really ever have enough? I mean Really?? Can one? So..ok Time to go to bed.

Not to us yer not…to us you are the unsung heros of Wisconsin Geocaching….

    Thanks for the clarification.

😯 Your not the Grand Master and Grand Mistress of all of Greater Wisconson Geocaching???

Ya sure you want to get rid of it? Keep it as a back up? Or for something you kids to use when you out caching?

How many years does it take a tree to grow and die? As I said a few branches. As the older ones die off and fall, there are new ones sprouting and growing till comes a time, they all stop growing and all end up dying.

Some tress continue to grow after some of those branches fall off, but the tree is forever changed. When a branch is broken off, there are usually new sprouts growing from the old limb of the tree. When tree is harvested, new saplings will take it’s place. Over time, one tree dies, then another and then there is no forest. Just Mother Nature’s way.

My point is a a few branches of a tree are pretty minimal. If a few fall off you notice it at first, but over time, they are forgotten, but the tree will always be different from that point on. It will continue to grow, it’s just not the same.

There was a poll a while back that asked if you could only do one, hide or find, I think the majority was find. Well if those who hide no longer hide, there will be not be any caches to find. What happens then? A slow death of geocaching? Unlikely. I guess I look at it this way. Geocaching is like a birch tree. It always growing. As it grows, the older branches start to die off. Well, there was a just a big wind storm and a few big branches were just lost from that tree. If the wind continues to blow and cachers continue to pull strips of birch bark off, that tree will start to die faster and all will be left will be an old rotten stump. And then someone comes along, tares up that stump to make room for a parking lot. (As I write this the song Big Yellow Taxi is playing in the background.) I guess some would rather have a parking lot than a Birch Tree

OK, here is pretty much my final idea. More life size also. If anybody can clean it up or has any ideas feel free to add them.

I hereby give full rights to my cheese block shaped like Wisconsin idea to anyone who can design something and cheezehead can take as much credit as can be extended north of Hwy 64. 😉

I have no artistic talent and have no urge to actually submit an idea but it would be neat to see this one up for vote…

Sorry Cheeto. I read you post, but didn’t Read it. I was up at 3:30 and just got home and my mind is about shot with all my learnin’ I had to do this week I Yes, I agree that this would bve a VERY GOOD IDEA

I am not an artist but I’ve been tossing the idea around of a coin that looks like it’s made of cheese. I just think it would be neat to have a Wisconsin shaped cheese block for some reason.

Not really related to geocaching but neither is a cow.

Ummmm….I’d let ya use my avatar to be the State coin.
This does make sense. You see anyone wearing a cheesehead, ya know they’re from Wisconsin.

Ok, How about this. The coin needs to be in the shape of the state. Can anyone do that using my avatar? Ya know make it look like a block of holy cheese in the shape of Wisconsin. I’ll split the idea with ya!

I was kinda of thinking of maybe trying to talk my wife into letting me mint a personal coin in the shape of my avatar, but it’s gonna be a VERY, VERY, VERY hard sell. VERY. 😯 😕 🙄

Ya know, the shirt could have the WGA top 10 list or something like that. Or put the lis on the back, but then that would cost more too.
