I agree. People buy coins and TB’s to be moved. They are not the property of the cache owner. The cache ownder did not spend the money on them. Most of the time, I’ll grab one if I see it and drop it off when I can umless it’s a new cache, then I ‘ll just discover it and leave it for the next cacher to find.

So do you have a design you’d like to share?

In fact, I did. But not anymore. I’m an artist.
I had a few concepts I’ve been playing with.
They’ll just have to wait at least one more year.

Sorry my talents can not be of any use.

Ok, I agree that you can have your opinions about the shape, but look at from this point of view. You say you are an artist. I want to commission you to design at art project but you have to stay within certain perimeters.
Will you reject the project cuz you do not like the perimeters?

And after all, how much time are you going to really going to spend looking at the back of the coin

Not to totally ruin your positive moment but…
I found a tick on me this afternoon. My first tick since November. It’s funny how the craphas are never anywhere to be found when the ticks are present.

–am I the only one seeing the correlation here?–

I’m thinking the ticks might know something about the craphas. You could ask one of them, but I doubt he’d give you a straight answer about anything. Don’t believe otherwise, ticks only PLAY dumb! They’re actually pretty smart, they just don’t want anyone to know that.

Actualy, ticks are around all year round. According to my dogs’ vet and I don’t think he was tring to sell me more tick stuff. He said that thou they are more prevelent during the summer months, the nymphs and larve are still going strong. And a fellow Up North resident told me that she pulled onw of herself earlier in the week.

I’d like to add that it would be nice to order a shirt if your are not able to go to the event. I’d pay for the shipping. Cuz not all members are able to attend event to get a shirt. Is there another option other than Cafe Press?

Sounds like it would be a great weekend for a CITO, then. Plenty of trash out there to pick up. 😉

It’s great to see some of the locals step up to organize these events, and now there is an official WGA event well north of highway 64! 😯

Ya, that great, but it’s not the campout or picnic.

As earlier announced, the Board of Directors h as decided to place an increased emphasis on the WGA sponsoring CITOs in the coming year. We plan on sponsoring 6 (possibly more) CITOs this year, and this announcement is to update our progress so far in developing these CITOs.

SERIOUSLY?????? 😯 😯 😕 😕 😕 Weekend of the 4th?? Don’t know of too many locals who are going to give up their 4th to pick up trash. That’s the busiest week of the year around these parts.
That’s a bad time in my opinion. I’ll be working for for sure.

And just a note. If you have an older I-pod, there is also a free program that works on the I-pod for paperless caching. I bought a I-pod just for this reason. DOn’t have a song on it yet. Also GSAK works on the I-pod also and the free program is called “Cache Magnet”.

AFAIK the attributes issue has been fixed for a while.

CJ, the issue with changing to 500 wasn’t a programming issue as much as a performance issue.

cheezehead, I have no desire to EVER find 500 caches in a day. If I cache with someone else, I probably won’t know their exact route ahead of time, but just a general area. I have mis-guessed a few times and not had the right area (or not a big enough area) loaded. Creating a “caches along a route” PQ with a 1 mile width hardly gets me out of the state before I get 500 caches.

Regarding 500 caches in a day, it can probably be done here.

Oh, I know it’s been done. But heck, I’m haapy if I get only 1 a day.
