These were a great size and have never had a problem with the hinges other than not being lab proof. 🙄

I’ve found standard Lock & Locks for $1 each (includes cover) at the dollar store on the frontage road in Oshkosh. I believe it’s “Dollar General” but if I have the wrong name someone feel free to correct it.

“Genuine” or knock-offs? Hinge durability tends to be not real great on the latter.

They were knock- offs but still high quality. They were a brand name I recognized but for the life of me can’t think of what it was. I have checked at 5 different Dollar Generals and it doesn’t look like they carry them anymore. They do have new brand. They are a bit more money but I don’t like them cuz they all have a steam vent built into the top.

Went found my last one. Farberware Classic Serries-1.9 cups. $1.50 a piece. They were also made in the USA.

How much are you looking to spend?? I think you can het a brand new Etrex at Wally World for $150…I think. Ebay ot Craigs List would be good too.

Is there anyway we could make this an event?

Can’t make an event out of only searching for a cache. You could make some kind of event at the place where everyone is staying or at some restaurant, etc., or even for the “cookout”, and anyone who came to that could log the event. Then only the ones who went out on the hike would log the actual cache find.

Ummmm ya.. I know that. 🙄

One weekend that I would not recommend is the Week of Feb.25-27.
That’s Birkie weekend for the Cable/Hayward areas and most hotel/motel rooms are booked within a 60 mile radius. Just looked at the Birkie web site and they have over 6000 entrants for the races.

Heck, Maybe we can bribe PassingWind out of his self-imposed geo-exile..if we can find him. I would love to join in on this also.
Is there anyway we could make this an event? PassingWind is the only cacher I know up in that area. The AmericInn has a small water park. I’ll see if I can get some info.

New snowshoe cache series in works.

Ya, but they are in a general area and local cacher and their kids found 1/2 them last week. If you know what trails to take, they are not all that hard to to get to.

    Zoma’s Golden Cache:The GrandDaddy of Caches- GC1F9RJ

    BOOKMARK LIST

Now this would be a heck of snowshoe outing. A series of 15 caches. I would gladly host an outing and even act as a tour guide. But,I’m to start a new job Monday and have no clue yet as to what kind of work schedule will be. And a few are on the Lonely Cache list.
