I own several pairs like this. Rag wool and fleece. Working many years in Diary & Frozen Food Depts has really taken it’s toll on my hands. So a pair of these. with a pair of polypropylene glove liners and I do pretty good. Add a couple of hand warmers and life is good. My grandfather had an old pair of leather choppers that he wore all the time in the winter, weather it it was hunting or ice fishing. And they were big, but not too big. Had wool liners and he wore jersey work gloves with them. One fluid motion he could tuck his shooting hand in his arm pit to pull the mitt off and raise his gun to fire. Sometime while ice fishing he would do run a piece of sting through his coat, the old kindergartner style. He never lost them but it also kept them from getting wet. And remember, you want big or lose fitting gloves the layer of air acts as insulator. My grandfather was a WI State Forester for 30 plus years. Never owned a pair of blue jeans. In the winter it was wool, wool, wool. Even wet, wool will retain heat.

And that’s why I like my Garmin 62st. It has buttons! Pretty easy to use with gloves on! 8)

I read awhile somewhere, In think it was England, that a bunch of cachers set up a high tech sting to catch a guy who was stealing TB’s and coins. They caught on a pretty clever hidden camera set up. They turned it in to the police but they said they couldn’t do anything. So they found who the guy was and confronted him with the photos. He returned over 100 TB’s or something like that. The camera can’t hidden to well, if someone saw it with out trying.

I haven’t seen any place if Minnesaota Geocachers are officially going to join our group for the event.

Jim and Brian have both posted to the MN Prez’s posting about it in their events thread.

    ES,
Can you clarify something for me… Is your City Navigator the DVD version or microSD version? If you have the chip created by Garmin, there isn’t an unlock code, you can move it to as many GPS’s as you want.

Can anyone confirm this? If you have a CityNavigator map on a microSD card for a Garmin unit, can you move it from unit to unit and it will still work? We have a DVD version of CityNavigator, which can only be used once, on one GPSr.

Ya use to could. I think. But now that I think about it, I don’t know. One USE to be be able to use the DVD version on multi units and Garmin changed that a few years ago. I do know I was able to load my old Topo on a friends gps,but could not put Navigator on it.

Just to get it out of the useless drivel thread, of course. FFL is more important than anything ever mentioned in that thread.

Why? It’s the USELESS DRIVEL THREAD. Anyone can talk about anything they want. And 9 times out of 10 any mention off FFL play had to deal with And again In say, don’t read it.

Sweet! Thanks for the promo, Cheezehead!

But what I was really looking for was that Fantasy Football League thread. Where is that one this year? I would always follow that religiously, even checking it out before wandering over to the thread stealers’ thread….

Such a loss to the forums…

Join the league next year and then you will have a front row for your stalking.
