It’s just part of the game. Some play it that way, some don’t. For some, it’s all about the numbers, for some it’s not. For some it’s a friendly rivalry. Sometimes there IS a FTF prize thou. Like an unactivated geo-coin or travel bug. I put a $25 dollar gift card in a Final cache for the FTF.
I had 5 teams scrambling!@Lander & Lancelot wrote:
I’m surprised that no one has pointed out that you can click a button on your profile settings on GC.com asking it to send you all new caches within a specified radius straight to your email as soon as they are published. That is how the FTF hounds get them.
That is only a “Premium Members” Feature.
There use to be a GC.com map that showed all new and old caches in Wisconsin(Well, think the whole world) but has since gone into hiding.@PassingWind wrote:

It is but it isn’t. I have had only one find since I put it out. How long should I keep it active? Ya, it only been up for a less than a month or so but when should it be put to bed? The Evil Genius was archived after not being up for a very long time. I curious as to what others think about this topic.
OK, only those cachers living below HWY 29 can comment here! 😯
And why is that? Are you afraid of thous north of Hwy 29? 🙄
I’ll post where I want to post, and if you don’t like …..TUFF ! 😛It is but it isn’t. I have had only one find since I put it out. How long should I keep it active? Just got back from the Cities. My wife found a heck of a deal 05′ VW Bug. More less bought it for her cuz she heads down to the cities about every other week for work. Maybe she’ll let me take geocaching instead of my Tahoe once in awhile.

Since Big Bob will be sitting on my right hand, you may have the honor of sitting on my left….
I’d Love to witness your sordid little plans in Hayward.
Huh? When? And how did I miss this thread???
So Doc, REALLY?? Cuz, I was kinda thinking of maybe holding a Geocache-Birthday Bash around maybe August 23.
Since I’ll be turning a young 38, I figured 38 permanent caches were in order. And so far I have about 20-25 waiting in the wings which include a fitting tribute to the Z-man.

Bummer. Ah, well, guess there’s always ’09.
No Wait!!! You should be in, still waiting a few more weeks for everyone from last year who played to sign up. Around July 1st, I send out the invite for the remaning spots.
Double Ditto!! 😀

When you see the lions and tigers, start running!
How about badgers? I had a log on one of my caches that there was a badger poking it head out of a hole near the cache. That would be almost as scary as running into a bear.
Lookin’ good Bec!…….as I am sitting here eating a bowl full of mashed potatoes and gravy…. 😳 😕 🙄
Dang! Not to far from me either but I have to work. Maybe next time. But good luck! I hope you have a great turn out.
