  • It depends in how much it will cost to do an audit of only $8,000.

On the other hand, it would be playing it safe of course to do so.

Why not keep them well maintained and expand the series by adding more in each park? I can see it both ways though. A new series sounds exciting and gives people something to look forward too.

I have placed and maintained my own caches but have yet had the opportunity to help with events or anything else. I look very much forward to helping out with all that is needed of me given the opportunity. I am reliable and willing to work.

Geocaching has enhanced my life in a lot of ways. One is getting out of my comfort of my own bubble and getting out and exploring the outdoors around me. It also has given me the opportunity to meet so many people and to form friendships. I have made most of my friends through this game. I have been geocaching since 2013 and although I may not get to go as often as I would like I don’t ever think of stopping short of death. 😆

in reply to: Candidate Question – Goals for the Year #2071166

I think of this as a fun challenge and a way to stretch out of my comfort zone a little bit. I was surprised to be nominated do not take it lightly. I love the idea of being a part of something bigger than just geocaching.I also am a homemaker currently so a a few hour’s or more a week to contribute is very doable. I love this game so much that I tell people about it every chance I get. One way I have found is through my vlogging. I kind of started that by accident by that first little video I got a lot of response by people who have never heard of geocaching and was very intrigued and wanted to know more. How fun to expose people to such a rewarding hobby and you get to make silly videos to boot. 😆 I say all of that because my goal is the same. To get more people aware of the game and to inspire people to get out and get caching.

I don’t mind a difference of opinions. It makes life interesting to say the least. What I don’t like is when a person/ people think that there is only one way to go about a task and refuse to consider other options. I normally am a listener but do not hesitate to speak up when the situation calls for it. There is always a kind way to state strong opinions and also to resolve any issues in the same manner.

As of experience, I worked in a high school for a good bit. Working alongside teens pre teens and faculty. A lot of different areas to work closely with kid’s and adults to organize and execute tasks. I found organization and delegation is a successful way to get the job done.

I like to think I’m both a traditional and event. I am a traditional person and what you see is what you get. I also like to be social and meet up with friends and make new ones. I’m like an ammo can, you never know what you’re gonna get.  😆

in reply to: Candidate Question – Board Term Limits #2071132

I am all for term limits. It gives other qualified people to have a chance to run and bring something new to the table. Everyone has their own unique ideas and term limits gives people who are genuinely interested and willing to bring those ideas to life a chance.

I second the idea of either the current or past members a chance to run again as well.

I love how well informed the WGA keeps everyone. Not only on the website but all the socials. You all work hard in that area. Thank you!

To further expand on the last reply concerning the idea about event planning education. That would be so helpful to maybe yearly put on a ” How to pull off a successful event ,101″ or something of that nature.

I don’t have a spiffy name tag but I wouldn’t be opposed to it. 😉
