Another revision…
How does this one look?
I did another with a cow on the front, and with cow ‘spots’ instead of the corn, but I didnt like it as much as this design.
Paula
I added a cow to the front – a barn could represent IL OR WI, and since WI IS the ‘Dairy state’ a cow seems fitting… and makes for a nice illustration. Unless a barn silhouette would be used.
Please do share ideas – I cant see as to why the NFL would object, being as though all those involved will be trading, and not ‘selling’ the coins.
But, as I said, Ideally, we would be keeping with the green and gold theme.
I think we all kind of thought beer wasnt the way to go.. and, we tried cow spots, but they really dont come off as cow spots unless they are ON a cow. LOL
Any other ideas are welcome!
The Packers would tie in with the Green and Gold theme… and that can be easily changed. Ideally, we would keep the green and gold. That would definately work.
From what I know of the project, they will be trackable, and should have their own icon.
Allwayslooking_99 can tell more about the details!
Email sent!
Could we purchase one please?
I guess I should ask how much they are! LOL
Please do send me a message with more info – how very cool.
Thanks!
We did some of the BoB’s – but they disabled them before we could finish.
DOH!We didn’t get a chance to complete them, and it doesnt look like they will be active till spring at least.
We have a personal coin coming out soon! Would love to trade one when it is ready if you have anything available still, and are interested!!

Its closer for many WGA members to hit some out of state caches than some further north. Seriously. Some of the nominees many of us have never heard of, or are as likely to travel to as an exceptional one IN IL or MN.
Moot point, I guess, but I had to speak my mind. I personally think it would be neat to see a club’s ‘eligible’ list be only that the MEMBER who nominates it be a club member – and not worry so much about the state the outstanding cache is in.

Why limit the ‘best’ caches in your region to your own state? You miss some of the best that way, IMO.
A member nomination would be enough, and if GONIL ever supports the idea, I would say the same likewise.
After all, the goal is finding and recognizing quality caches FOR members to do, not just the ones that reside on the members side of the state line.
Whatever happened to raising that Cheddar Curtain Roger?? LOL
Excellent work Dave – I do logo and graphic design for a living… and loved the ‘refreshed’ version.
Its clean, and professional.

Its a bummer really – Our DaVinci Code caches should really be experienced as a set, and I hate seeing them ‘divided up’ just because we split them between states.
A series, is a series, is a series…. its all just minor stuff.
Thats a little silly though. I dont see at all why any Cache of the Month NEEDS to be a WI cache – as long as its chosen, nominated, and voted for by WGA members, any cache should be eligible.
Just as we live in IL and do most of our caching in WI, there are WI folks who LOVE some caches in IL. (Likewise of course)
I just think its unfortunate that a good cache DISCOVERED by WGA members cannot be COTM. (And I do understand this is WISCONSIN Geocaching Association, but its the cachers that count, and the experience – not the locale.)
