Wahoo! Congrats to you both!!
Spunky the next hundred will fly by! the first hundred is always the hardest! And Shortblonde Congrats on grabbing 300 it always feels great reaching a milestone!
I’m with GOJeepers on this one, I would love to go up north and find those caches up there! it would be awesome if their were bookmarks of the Must Do for Experience, and on top of it, Interesting and One of a kind places to stay be it hotels, bed and breakfast, Campgrounds (though now that its getting colder i won’t be camping) but its always good to plan for next summer! Now that the new Cache Along a Route is up and running it would be cool to try those out!
like everyone else that’s just my $0.02 😉only 5… i think..
Why not when someone makes a donation, Have the option of wanting them to be known or not.. that they made the donation..
i won’t beat you up.. unless you pass me.. then maybe then i will! 😆
No i won’t do that..HEY, he wasn’t with him last weekend, In fact he was out with me last weekend and Benny too! and look at that we all hit milestones the same week! hehe
oh and Marc.. Its never about the numbers.. 😉
Oh also sorry.. Congrats to you Justin, on reaching 300 in such a short time.. though i already said that to you on the phone.. but i guess i have to add that here too! 😆
Thanks everyone, it was a fun weekend at Rib Mountian, Wish the Three Bad Ribs were number 400 but OH WELL.
And as for the present of reaching 400, i’m just going to wait until i reach 500 and then (if dad doesn’t buy it for me) I’m getting a Automative GPS 😉
and if he does then i don’t know…is it possible for someone to adopt this cache, and fill out the forms, to keep it going? if you don’t get a response back from the owners?
Well i can’t help you about the status of the cache, but if you want to do it this weekend, I’m planning on going Saturday, (I’m camping in Rib Mountain for the weekend) If you would like to go with me your more than welcome too!
Well for an example, i probably would of never camped down in Kettle Moraine Southern Unit or got any of the local caches in the area that i did if it wasn’t for the Picnic, I like going to events, not caring how far away they are, and i don’t care if there’s going to be Temps or not, I’ll hit some of the local caches on top of attending the event and maybe hitting a couple of the temps too (though i use to log the temps, i stopped doing it. seem like such a hassle to log them anymore) Also at the picnic though i did do some of the Temps mostly it was to show my sister what they were like(she’s from Ohio)
That’s why i attend an eventsorry can’t help you there… that’s to far away from me! 😀
ohhh ok.. i didn’t understand.. but now i do.. thanks for clarifying
Those of you who want Page 57, the cache is up and running!! (and don’t worry its not in the water, at least not yet.. 😉
the name of the cache is “Blessed Be The Rock”
(don’t know if i did the link thingy right or not.. if not here is the GC #
GCXXRB
hehe i’m so not use to this type of thingLostby7 i like your idea of the stamps being in the perm. caches in the area, and to have a contest of some sort (or drawing)
But your last commit..“But then again, is it fair to force people to meet each other?”
isn’t that the point of an event, to meet each other? If you don’t want to meet other geocachers then why go to an event? I thought that’s what events are for?
I’m not trying to start arguments here or anything like that, i just curious of what you meant..OK i have been keeping an eye on this all weekend long, (been at work can check out the forum but not post)
I agree with what some of you are saying, that there should be Temp caches, but not as many, maybe have a few that are of different Levels of difficulty and terrain… I know i would like to socialized more and trade geocaching stories and get to know one another better..
The first time i ever went to an event, i thought i had to find the temps, but i spent so much time looking for the temps i didn’t even get to do any of the local caches there, and honestly that kind of sucks cuz it would of been nice to have done those..
It would also be nice if at the next WGA event if some one would come up with a list of the local caches in the area of say a 10mile radius, so the option for people who don’t want to find the temps can still get the downloaded list of the local caches in the area.but that’s my two cents..
