Well i guess i was the unluckly one, i found one on me, i tried to get him off, but i started to panic as he was a tiny one and did not give up easliy, i ended up going to the ER, cuz since he was soo small and wouldn’t let go, i thought it was a deer tick, it took (including the time i tried to get him off 1 1/2 hours for him to let go… luckly it was just a small wood tick, and no infection.. thank god.. i feel silly after the fact but now i know that i have to have the spray and i learned my lesson..
So everyone who is going to the camp-out bring spray, tuck your pants into your socks, and check yourself all over the place for ticks.. and wash your clothes when you get home immediatly!!!OH MY GOD!
you have got to be kidding me.. where do people come up with theses things!!!I think the highway 10 in manitowoc would be good!

OK, it won’t top Connery story but my actually pretty similar to it.. i was up north at the Great Northwoods Event last year i think that was around Feb, anyway.. it was sunday morning and i had just left the event and wanted to grab a couple more caches in the area, first cache i decide to do, i was going up and down the roads around there and kept getting lose finally got with in a reasonable distance from the cache, (like around 300ft from it) there was a good 2 feet of snow on the ground, well i pulled off on the side of the road, and my escape drops two feet down on one side! i sat there for a second, surpised! then i got out of my car and took a look, oh my car just fell off the shoulder, well thats ok, i couldn’t tell cuz the snow hide that when i pulled over, whatever, i can get out of that, so i grab my gps check the palm for info about the cache and went looking for the cache.. looked for a good 30minutes nothing.. darn snow.. oh well go back to the car and started to try and work the car out……… nothing my wheels spin and i figured out, that the two driver side tires on sitting on ice, my car isn’t bunging.. crap! so i waved down a van to help me, and they lived right down the road and had tow ropes there and would be right back… Turned out it took another truck, to tow me out, and then i was so turned around and not exactly happy right then, i contuined down the road and found directions back to the highway and i went straight home.. It was an interesting time, and a story well worth telling to other people!
ok.. I’ll admit, i’m helping with this said event, and yes the id was made for this event, but the person who organized it all does geocache, she contacted Bec and ask if someone could help with the presentation which i volunteered to do! Anne is going to help me also, but after we are done we are heading over to appleton for the CITO event there..
It going to happen, events get posted on the same day all the time.. it happens..I’ll send an email around to petition you into the WI Membership!!
though i always wonder if i get to keep mine membership when i leave to move back to ohio, or if i get the title WGA friend…
