It’s an upgrade!!!!!!!!!!

No good upgrade goes unpunished.
I’m sure there will be some glitches, but we have to expect that when they make upgrades.
lol…I wondered how you’d respond to this with your background…(I still think it’s ugly).
The analogy – Think about the last major purchase you made with your significant other and how many “discussions” you had about it. I like green, she likes red, etc. Now multiply this times the number of members …
Some are going to like the same change that you hate (and vice versa). Hopefully they’re making these changes for a reason and doing it with purpose.
If all else fails, then we just have to use the “other” mantra.
It’s just software – they can change it.

I was in no way implying that your post was a hint to the cache in question. (I did get the joke..) I was more or less letting heliodood know that hints will happen. It’s much more fun when they happen on the cache page or in the picture gallery of the cache page.
At least on a cache page the CO can ask a person to edit their logs, or encrypt said log. In the worst case scenario, and as a last resort, a CO reserves the right to delete a log.
Most of the threads here also allow the poster to edit their post just like on geocaching.com. If you think something needs to be edited just ask.
Now – talking about thick skin. Have a look at the thread stealers thread around the end of Oct beginning of Nov. A number of people had “fun” at my expense, but I didn’t get upset. The WGA has some great people and the reason we’re here is to help one another.
NOW GET THAT CACHE ENABLED SO SOMEONE CAN GET THE FTF.

Awesome – Thanks for the link. Looks like some good progress.
75% of all my WSQ cache finds have been in cedar trees so I don’t know that this would be a spoiler. In fact, maybe it’s just the opposite and it’s a Red Herring. If it’s truly a spoiler, then I’d suggest contacting the poster and ask them to edit the post. I know I’ve been asked to change some “Found / DNF” logs to remove what the CO thought were spoilers. I’ve always edited logs if requested.
I looked at the cache and it involves music, which I’m horrible at, so it appears to require some specialized knowledge which limits the audience. It’s also located in central WI which we all know has a smaller cache audience. I live in small town central WI but work in the Fox Valley. Same cache style here vs. there means huge difference. A P&G here might get 2 visits a month where in the Fox Valley could have 10 – 20 times more for the same time period.
It’s a WSQ meaning it’s not 24×7, it’s winter making the days much shorter and prevents many people from caching during the week, it’s winter which limits the number of people that cache. Obviously there are a number of elements in play.
If nobody posts any logs (found, note, etc.) you can always add additional clues. I’ll admit it’s exciting to wait for that first “FOUND” email, but it’s also exciting to see that people are a little stumped.
There are many veterans in the Forum providing you some great advice. Be patient, let things work themselves out, it’ll turn out OK.

Did ya tell her about the hot coco w/ mini mashmellos? I would think that be the deal maker!
Only if she drops me off and drives over to the outlet mall for 2 hours…hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
This is exactly how I’m thinking of trying to get “buy in” from my family. My wife was just talking about the Fond du Lac mall so maybe this will work.
I too have seen the “real” lock / locks and they appear more durable. I think it becomes preference and/or cost/benefit ratio. At $1 each you can replace a few of these for the same price as the heavy duty version.
Although I’m not a reviewer, I can’t see why there would be any problem with this. I’m thinking you could even include a graphic image on the main page and hyperlink it to the PDF with a note saying “For a full size actual copy …”
Sounds interesting – Please post the cache ID back to this thread once it’s published.
The wind is howling outside and the snow is flying and this was a neat diversion. I kept waiting for a snake to come out from the places I looked first. Took me nine tries, so I better stick to the real thing.
I second (or third) the prior posters kudos and praise. The whole series is very informative, contains basic / straight forward puzzles, caches are all (for the ones I’ve completed) identified by great geobeacons, and spotlight some great Wisconsin / US outdoor advocates. The terrain varies from relatively flat, to “steeper” slopes with steps, to ridges, with woods, open land, ponds, etc. It also provides a great cardio workout and can be done with or without snowshoes. Definately winter friendly, even with a stiff wind and temps hovering near zero the woods / hills provide cover making it quite enjoyable.
This series has also increased my list of “to read” books based on things I’ve learned from this series. History, caching, books, what else could be more appropriate.
Kudos to S|S for coordinating this project and also to all the teams that assisted by developing the caches. It’s appears to be a great team effort that worked really well.

Be prepared for some up-the-hill-down-the-hill cardio!
Didn’t I also see a log that mentioned a couple of thorns near one of the caches? 😆 😆 😆

I just broke geocaching.com 🙁 😳 🙁
Well apparently it wasn’t too serious, because it’s working fine now (for me at least).
Congratulations on the milestone.
I’ve been toying with the idea of an I-Touch (I know it’s an Apple product, but I might just get over that hump).
Can anyone post links to vendor pages that would show screen shots so the rest of us (i.e. me) could get a feel for it?
