Would you be willing to share the “re-arranged” version? If so, send me a PM and I’ll give you my email address.

    There’s another at http://www.geocaching.com/resources/guide_to_geocaching.pdf

The problem with this one is that when you tri-fold it, it doesn’t turn out right. The 3 panels don’t appear to be arranged in the right order – at least not that I can figure out when folding.

Congrats on the 100 milestone. This is a pretty special number.

This sounds like the Mayo Clinic bug I had a while ago. It just said it wanted to “visit” and I was new to caching so I wasn’t quite sure what that meant. I work near Theda Clark and was going to try and get a picture with it, but things didn’t work out.

Awesome project – too bad society as whole has lost this style of thankless giving over the last few years. Keep up the great project and remember how many lives you’re touching.

While I haven’t cached (yet) in a canoe, we have taken the kids canoeing. We have a long (17′) wide (37″) canoe and it works great for the kids as long as you’re in the clear. We ran into some interesting scenarios trying to canoe the local Mecan River where tight turns / bends made it almost impossible. A long canoe / kayak can be good on a calm lake or something like the Fox River, but it’s a pain in the smaller creeks and backwaters. I think the key is to get the kids involved and let them paddle a bit, splash a bit, and have fun. The other key – know where you’re planning to use the craft most and then use that in your decision.

Imagine that. It was right there in front of me all along. How did I miss this. Oh well – Thanks for the help.

What a great community of people. There are a number of you that I’ve exchanged emails with, some that I’ve met, and others that are unknowns currently. I’m hoping to meet up with more of you on future adventures. Thanks to Sloughfoot for placing this cache. I’m also working some of the other Sloughfoot caches especially the TOTS series, so stay tuned for additional postings on those coming up.

Thanks to all the warm welcomes. That #11 was a great experience. I got to share it with an old high school friend – the guy that got me hooked on caching from a Facebook post where I went “Huh?”. It was #11 for me, but #1900 for WeatherNowCast who I got to share the moment with. Thanks got out to the guy that got me started.

I’m hooked is probably the best way to state it (maybe the only way). Lunchtime is now consumed with caching. And as sadistic as it sounds I’m working the Seldom|Seen Laughing Water Series in Menasha. Holy buckets are some of these hard. Got hooked on these via the LCG. Mostly out of ignorance as a newbie – I asked myself “What can be so hard about these in downtown Menasha that nobody’s doing them?” Guess I found out, but there are at least a few that are no longer “lonely”.

Homebase is in the Berlin area which has a rich opportunity for more caches. We’ve placed two (second just published on 8/14) but have plans for many more.

Thanks SGH (and all the others) for the warm welcome.
