WOW – What a tour. Congratulations on a great adventure and a worthy milestone.

I have an event coming up on June 13th in Appleton and I will be able to take trackables with me over to South Korea. If you have anything that needs to go that way in the world I can help it along.

    I sill have a certain penguin in my possession……… 😆 😆 😆

I looked this guy up a couple of weeks ago. I had a spot in Chicago to drop him off.

Todd – I may be able to help you out. I’m in the Fox Valley for work and my parents make fairly regular trips to Arizona. Not quite Mexico but close.

Can I get retro credit for a container I pulled yesterday that wasn’t on the list? Or should I put it back, post a “Cache Rescue” and then go remove it again? (light hearted humor)

I think it might be nice to have a map for the Cache Rescue missions as well if that is at all possible, like the LCG map. I need a visual aid! 😀

Maybe a public bookmark? That way people could just run a PQ anytime it’s convenient for them and do whatever they want with it. Just a thought as this might be easier than trying to maintain a map.

I’ve been using the IL version for the greater Chicago area and it’s pretty good also. Slightly different colors / symbols but very accurate as far a roads, parks locations, etc.

Isn’t that Aaron Rodgers Day, too?

Who’s that? And why did we let our state officials waste our precious tax dollars on this?

Here I go – Solving more puzzles that I’ll probably never find, but what an adventure it would be.

Let’s also keep in mind that this is a public forum so any comments noted here are visible to the world as a whole (including the DCLT).

Here’s some things we may want to consider:
    1) A CITO in which members volunteer to help pull or otherwise eliminate the invasive species.
    2) Ask if there are any areas within these zones where they would allow a geocache (i.e. trailheads, shelters, etc.)

I’ve never visited these areas, so I have no idea what the response would be. I think it would be in geocachers best interest to be proactive in trying to help if possible. With the spread of invasive species throughout the state a little proactive now might set us down a great path for the future when working with other organizations.

Wow. Congratulations. This is obviously the crowning moment for many caches that are truly what caching should be.

I’ve also found that hiders that use the same brand of GPSr as me have better coordinates than hiders using other brands / models. Just one of those quirky things. 20′ is not a big deal and I would acutally consider this “spot on”.

As a “test” you could try a benchmark and see how “accurate” your unit is. These are well defined coordinates and would give you a good idea of if you’re close to spot on or not. Try to find a benchmark without any tree’s / bushes nearby though and see what the reading is.

Congrats. This is a great challenge cache and it’s amazing to see 3/5 of the finders use this as a milestone. That definately says something about the cache.

And and awesome puzzle count also.

I have been using GSAK for 5 years and I havent mastered it yet. Where is the geocaching.com access selection???

You need Version 8 of GSAK.

This is a menu option near the right edge of the menu bar.

What happens to the audit log on the Premium only cache if the CO opts to temporarily open it to all members? Does this terminate the original audit and restart when the cache is moved back to PMO?

I’ve tested this on some of my own and the stats appear to stay in tact.

I’ve never done this, but have contacted a couple of CO’s to ask if they would allow my children (non-Premium) to log it if they were with me. One CO said they would drop the premium status temporarily to log it. The other CO didn’t respond, so when we do that cache I’m going to use the backdoor method

My preference is to contact the CO first to explain the situation and attempt to get their permission. If they were to respond with “Please don’t log it if you’re not a premium member.” then I would respect their request.
