After a good deal of digging found out it is best to upgrade S&T and stop fighting with Windows 7.
All S&T 2011 to current will allow you to download a file from GSAK and show all the caches on a map of that area.
I upgraded and all is working again as it should.
Just a note of caution………. S&T 2008, 2009 and 2010 DO NOT have this feature so don’t bother with them.

Rumor has it Dick insisted on hiking the entire 140 miles just to keep his reputation for quality hides on memorable hikes alive. hehe

If so I’m thinking a new set of boots will be on next weeks shopping list.

    OK,
What I’ve heard so far seems a bit short sighted but I can live with that.
    I guess I’ll go back to shoveling, r’ I mean caching. 😕

Just FYI, King Boreas (from the Twin Cities area) has done that quite a bit. You might contact him direct and see if it does any good and what size containers are best.
    Good luck

A BIG congratulations on finding #2000 at the event/cache filled weekend in Hudson. I’m glad we were able to provide some interesting winter friendly hides for you and your rather large contingent of close personal friends to hunt. Hope to see you next February for #3000.
    Way to go Blaise! 😀
