😆 Thanks guys 😆
Oh, just fyi, I just purchased a new GPSr so technically I guess I’m still trying to figure out how one of these things works – but I’m having a ball at it.
See ya all down the trail. Next stop #5000, I hope.
Gary
Welcome aboard Jack Pine Savage.
I’m a bit confused with your caching name as I have been aware of another cacher with the exact same name that became a member back in March of 07′
Anyway, I would suggest looking into a Garmin 60Csx GPS or an Oregon 400T model. I have been caching for quite a while with my 60Csx as has my wife, DOC. and been very satisfied with what that model does. I recently purchased an Oregon ’cause it offers more bells and whistles pertaining to paperless caching.
I know Zuma had expressed his favor of a Colorado but I personally know several people that tried that model and returned them because of some features.
I would suggest you try out the 60Csx with a current owner. I believe that would do a great job for you and unless you are really bitten hard the 60Csx should last you for years of successful caching.Da Bloodhound
Way to go Team Honeybunnies ❗
Now the pressure is really on.
Can Zuma pull it off late in the upcoming fourth quarter and beat Seth and Marie to 10K and the platinum ammo can??????
Come on Ralph, you’ve got to make a horse race out of this one.
Congrats to all.
DB 😆
For what it’s worth, I too would like the ability to do downloads the night before the event starts.
Controlling the start time with hand out of the official forms at the park at a specific time appears to be a winner too.
You could also provide free coffee and donuts for ALL the local law enforcement – say an hour before the event starts.😀
Looks like a cache by Tomimach in Hudson near H2O On The Rocks was also hit and taken as the owner reported being unable to find it.
DBHey Gwen
If Dick and airplanes don’t mix how far, over night, could you get on Amtrack?
You could even catch a few winks while “on the road” to ?????????
DBThanks.
It appears we are on the way to a first class trail map of the Bjornson area. Map will be available topo or aerial photo, with all roads, trails, buildings and other poi’s. Cache data will be optional.
DBThanks everyone!
The event was a lot of fun to put on too. I hope to drag a couple other caches out of the workshop for next year. My goal is around twenty fresh clever temps. Who says temps can’t compare with permanents? Ya, like “cabin 5” doesn’t compare with a skirt lifter. HeHe Just a little humor for those that attended.
Next year has already been cleared with the area coordinator and is a GO.
Thanks again and see you somewhere around Mama Kat’s hidden treasure.
DB
I was thinking that we should look beyond painted ammo boxes for number 10,000 and go directly to a Platinum Painted 16 gallon keg of Leinnies. YEA!
What say you Master Zuma?
I think that Noah is some kind of secret weapon Seth and Marie have finally turned loose in the Geocaching world. hehe
CONGRATULATIONS & WELL DONE.
Does this rate put you at 10K by Mothers Day? 😀
Nice job on the #1000 K Spud.
Looks like you’ll be able to add to those with the new ones Mama Kat is planning for Bjornson on Oct. 11th. Sounds like there will be some FTF opportunities for you hounds too.
I would like to look at that Hayward Series too one of these days when the 4 wheeler is available. LOL
🙄
Gold or Platnium??
Gold was for #5000 so I guess it will have to be PLATNUM
Just a quick note. Bjornson is located about three (3) miles off I-94. I left a note on the cache page with driving directions from Exit 32 to the entrance to the Learning Center. It’s easy – hope to see ya there. 😀
I do have a Polaris 6 wheel drive ATV that could be rented to the highest bidder. hehe DB 😈
Bjornson fall colors – social event is taking shape.
See gc.com waypoint: GC1GBEP
I hope to see lots of old friends and make some new ones as well. This should be a fun and colorful event.
