Bjornson fall colors – social event is taking shape.
See gc.com waypoint: GC1GBEP
I hope to see lots of old friends and make some new ones as well. This should be a fun and colorful event.
😀 😆 😀 😆 😆 😀 😆 😀
Event for Bjornson IS A GO.
The cache page awaits approval and publication.
There will be approximately 30 new permanent caches available for the event with 12-15 creative temps.
(Most of the caches you found last year have, or will be archived and replaced with new hides.)
This event will be put on and run by seasoned, old cachers. Just look at DB, he’s old!

They’re usually within 40′ 😀
Cryptic clues are OK, even the well used one”are ya stumped yet?” passes as a clue.
The “None needed” or “This one is too easy to need a clue” and such as that should NOT be included on the cache pages in my opinion. It would be nice to eliminate those but it is really just a minor hassle caused by people playing the game their way.
Although on the flip side of that scenario there is a fellow cacher in the Twin Cities that has been known to place caches as: Undetermined container with coordinates only, no write up, no clue and no attributes. A true minimalist geocacher.
I’d also like to recognize the accomplishments of my friend, Phynd from New Richmond for making the 1000 milestone during the weekend of the West Bend event. On Sunday Phynd recorded #1000 at an Earthcach in Fondy with Zuma and me. Way to go Geneo! I told ya we would see that record go down in flames before the weekend was over. LOL, Da Bloodhound 😆 😀 😆
Heck, if this Lycoperdon character was any kind of Wisconsin Geocacher he/she would just take it upon himself/herself to make repairs to the caches listed as needing help and should be archived. After these fixes were effected Lycoperdon could then log repairs have been made and all would be right with the world.
It is obviously Lycoperdon’s fault there are any problems here!
I believe almost all of us have provided assistance to one cache or another and that is generally recognized as normal Wisconsin Geocacher’s good deeds in action.
Good caching my friends.
Da Bloodhound 😉Hey-
Looks like he/she has been screening caches as far east as Baldwin, WI as one of the Boris Badenov hides was hit with “needs archiving.”
We fixed that one but who is this moron?
I know I’ll ask The Shadow – ’cause “The Shadow Knows”
DB
😉Signed Log, Thanks For The Cache!
😆Oh, now that’s SAD
But you are entitled to your opinion, even though I personally don’t agree with your negative point of view.
With Midwest Geobash and the West Bend events coming up over the next three weeks I wouldn’t look for any resolution on this topic any time soon.
I don’t think interest levels over a great looking logo are going to go away – perhaps just be put on a back burner temporarily.
But that’s OK.
😀
HEY THANKS!
That worked perfectly.
Check out GC1EGZP
DB 😆 😆 😆 😆
You all mind if I jump in here and ask a related, I think, question?
I have added a small cartoon animation to a cache page. That was an adventure in itself. The animation is positioned toward the left margin and I too was wondering what html magic gets it centered on the page?
Any, and all help, would be appreciated.
Thanks!
You TOTALLY missed the point – but then I thought you might.
I was trying to make the point a BOLD logo is one I believe most of us would wish to be associated with, ie: GMC, 3M, COKE, ATT etc. In my opinion the stylized “G” lacks the bold impact of a logo I, personally, would like the association to adopt.
I was not suggesting the only answer was an exact copy of anyone else’s logo.
Secondly I was suggesting ours is an outdoors-man and woman’s activity and thus warrants an impact logo. And, I too, know many women that geocache that can and will get just as dirty, wet, covered with mosquito bites and thorn cuts to make a find and claim the smiley as any man among us.
