Last year I made a couple trips where I definately had to be at a certain point by a certain time, yet I wanted to cache along the way. I managed to do both by looking for caches along the route every 200 miles or so. This gave me a chance to find a cache and my father to get out of the van and move his legs a bit. Letting him walk around the van a few times was doable for him, so I didn’t need to unload the wheelchair each time we stopped. What was even better was when I was able to pick out a cache that was less than 30 feet from the van. Then I would hand him his cane and tell him to find it.

So, yes, you can take a trip, do some caching and still not miss the sites you wanted to see on your vacation.

I agree, it was a nice area. I found that one in October 2007 on a freezing cold, really windy day. One of the caches I won’t forget as I missed a doggie landmine by about 1/2 inch, and as I was getting back into the van, I got a phone call that my niece was in the hospital.

It’s surprising how much you remember about certain finds, isn’t it?

I was there when I was 5 years old. The only thing I remember is the little house we stayed in. We had to use a skeleton key to open the door. Also, my brothers both refused to go upstairs. Oh, yeah… and I made my dad go out to the car in a thunderstorm to get my little stuffed rabbit. Ah, the good old days. Hmmm… I might have to think about taking a trip up there again one of these days. 😀 Thanks for bringing back the memories.

**sigh** just my luck. Always a day late and a dollar short of a new idea. 😥

Sounds like fun! I’ll have to wait and see if I get the doc’s ok by then.

I had the same problem. I e-mailed tech support asking how to go back to the earlier version and they e-mailed me back wih a link the next day. Unfortunately, I no longer have the e-mail they sent, but I’m sure if you contact them they will help you out.

I want to say “thanks” too! I love the puzzles… just wish I could get out on the trails and find all the ones I solved. **sigh** maybe in spring after the new cartilage in my knees starts growing. Well, time to solve some more!

I found the easiest way to add to the unfound puzzle list is to have surgery (twice) in the same year. It’s caching without having to actually be able to walk.

About 100 or so. Unfortunately, some are in Nebraska, some are in Louisiana, some are in Missouri and some are in Mississippi, but thankfully the majority are in Wisconsin.

I’d love to have some puzzle caches! The harder the better! But, it would be better if the puzzles were available a day or two earlier. Of course, if that’s too much work for the event planners, easy ones are ok too. I agree that if we were able to download the file the night before it would really make things easier on the day of caching.

Have my calendar marked and I’m ready for the challenge whatever it may be!

An extra hour to cache. We would have been able to find all of them if we had just one more hour before having to check in. 😀

Glad to hear this is in the works. My nephews keep asking me when we are going to another one of those conventions. I had no clue what he was talking about until I pinned him down further and asked him to tell me about the one we went to. He said it was when we stayed at the hotel where I pushed him in the pool (well that didn’t help, I always do that) and where we were trying to find things in the rain and they posed for a picture at McDonalds. Ok! finding things in the rain. Must have been caching. 😀 After looking back at pictures, it was the last Green Bay event. I’m looking foward to this one. Time to mark the calendar!

I feel sorry for the little frog that was living in the cache. He had a nice little hidey hole there. 🙁 At least he sat still so I could take his picture.

No more crutches! 😀 Still can’t cache. 😥
