I used the bean bag base and have not had any problems until just recently. After 4 years of use, the bottom has worn a little smooth. I fixed the problem by placing a piece of the rubbery stuff you can buy to go under seat cushions to keep them from slipping, under the base. I like this base because I can just grab the whole thing with the gps still attached and stash it under the seat when I park. But of course, that is just my opinion. 😀
The only time it hasn’t remained on the dash was when it was very cold out and I went around a sharp corner just a little too fast. 😳 But I was quick enough to catch it before it hit the floor. 😆
