Oh and the travel bug idea is OK but in these parts there are FTF hogs who would clear out every cache as soon as the coords were given out and all you’d have done is give 18 bug tags to one or two groups; a better idea may be to release them a bit at a time……
In addition to the FTF hogs, there are the people who grab every TB they come across and hang on to it for months on end, never giving anyone else the joy of discovering one. This is the reason I very rarely release any of my TBs near home. There are too many of these people in my neck of the woods.
I vote for puzzle caches!! I just love those things!
A race would be a good idea, but keep in mind that caching is popular in all age groups and those with small children or those closer in age to “Old” wouldn’t be able to, or would find it extreemly difficult to participate. Puzzle caches would level the playing field a bit.
😮 Irvine Park!!!!! LOOK AT THE BEARS, LOOK AT THE BEARS, LOOK AT THE BEARS!!!!!!!
I just wanted to say thanks for everyone’s help. The latest issue of the newsletter turned out pretty decent, if I do say so myself. Just in case you want to take a peek, here is a link…

Count me in on this deal. For a Motto: On top “Home of the Cheese”, on bottom “Land of the Free”. 😀
Or was that supposed to be “Land of the FEE” … I hate toll roads!
Hmmm… I don’t have a mac, but I don’t think I’ll switch just because of this either. Anyways… thanks for everyone’s input. I’ll let you know how things turn out.
All right… new question. Does anyone have a program (that is assuming that one exists) that will take a pdf file and work backwords and turn it back into some other type of file so that I can get the HWS logo off of it and use if for the new newsletters?
Thanks! I just downloaded the free stuff. Now I can get to work on the newsletter. 😀 All the little hedgehogs are thanking you!
Ok… so after I finish this newsletter in Publisher… how do I get it saved as an adobe file? ❓ I know… why is an ex-programmer asking silly questions like this… because I programmed and didn’t use silly things like Publisher. 😳
Hmmm… now that you mention it… I just looked and I have publisher too… I just never used it. Thanks. 😀
Since you are all talking about software… does anyone know of a half decent graphics program that I can use to layout a newsletter for a non-profit organization, that does not cost an arm and a leg, yet have the ability to finally be put into adobe for download?
Yep, I read um all.
Ummm…. let’s not say how old I will be! 😳
We will be there with a birthday cake! 😀
According to mapsource the coordinates are N44 19.154 W89 11.710
