How did you download the caches? And what type of GPS units were you using?

I’ve got a 60csx and the caches were downloaded the night before at the meet and greet event. Mine didn’t have the 09 codes either.

I’ve got one on Ol’ Betsy. It’s only been logged a few times. Probably since it’s been sitting in the driveway most of the time for the last 3 months and I put it on there about 3 1/2 months ago.

For the speaker – know any good comedians? 😆

John McGivern is a local to Milwaukee. He made me laugh so hard when I went to see him after surgery, I actually ripped out some of my stitches.

He might be interested in learning about caching too.

Just wanted to thank all those involved. It gave me a reason to get hold of my nephews for the day. Not an easy task since their parents got divorced.

Tons of caches I didn’t find, but with West Bend so close, I’ll be sure to go back and finish up one of these days.

    THANKS EVERYONE! 😀

Thanks! You won’t be able to miss me. I’ll be the one with extra hardware.

Do you have the LONG hikes marked somewhere for us crippled people? I think I’ll take the cane as well as the walker, but I don’t know how I’ll do on long hikes. 😥

I’d love to get 50+ caches, but realistically, I’ll be happy with 5 right now.

    TOO FUNNY! 😆

Caching while using a walker? Possibly!

If it wasn’t for having back surgery 6 weeks ago, I might have tried to get there. Definately something I would have loved to attend.

I guess I’ll just have to start planning my Mississippi River trip instead. Hopefully I’ll be back to work soon so I can request my vacation. 😆

in reply to: Are geocoins and travel bugs worth it? #1911393

You can sometimes find geo-coins for sale that end up being cheaper than TBs. I also find that if you damage the coin before sending it out, it doesn’t disappear… or at least not as fast. I’ve been drilling holes in the coins and attaching a tag that says not to keep it, but to treat it like a travel bug and keep it moving.

Well, it would have been quite a long trip to WA.

in reply to: 2009 WGA picnic is on! #1910361

I have plans on attending, however the docs might have a different plan. **sigh**

How about the people that have the radio in the car turned up so loud that your car vibrates and you can’t hear what you have playing? 😡

Smokers who do not think package tops or butts are litter, so they just toss them out the window.

Someday when I run the universe I am going to implement “Cosmic Karma.” This is my philosophy that any trash that someone throws outside their car window automatically teleports itself to the middle of their living room.

I like this idea! My yelling “litterbug” out the window as I pass them doesn’t seem to be working too well.
