I’ll be hunting Saturday and Sunday (hopefully filled on Saturday) and then back to caching the rest of the time. I’m not a fan of the second week of deer hunting.

Still no word from the local LEO’s so I guess the case is closed.

If Gotta Run or anyone else did not post the bomb scare thread, I would not have known about it at all. But I’m sure I would have found out about it eventually.

Thanks to y’all for sticking up for me. Appreciate it. I’m still hesitant to do some urban caching, but eventually I’ll get over it.

If your down this way again and want to do a urban number run, let me know. I have a bunch of areas to hit in the surrounding areas around GB. I don’t mind the guys in blue stopping by to check on me.

Not sure I could trade up or even with that one lol

ROFL After reading these I think I’m avoiding anything near fences.

Yeah I’m guessing the park just took that one since MacGyver has been getting logs about it sticking out like a sore thumb. OT- grats on finding Hiking gottarun . Hoping the 3rd time will be the charm this weekend on that one. I’m getting tired of playing in that area lol.

Got mine yesterday!!! Wow, do they look cool and that little alien glows something sweet. The translucent blue on the planet doesn’t look half bad either!

If you are interested in a trade, please send me an email NOT a PM requesting a trade. I’ll honor what I can, but I only got the 50 count and many of them are already spoken for! Next time I’ll know to get 100!

Coin looks great Astro. I saw it on your pathtag account. Great job.

Excellent. I was just going to order my starter kit and wanted to have the WGA on the back. Great news.

Well, I guess the media did not follow up on this story. It would be nice if they did. The articles from both the P-G and WBAY make me look like a criminal, which obviously I’m not.

Looks like things have quieted down now. I haven’t seen anything since the original articles. There was a cache a block from the one you did that has gone missing now. I wonder if they found that one but figured what that one was. It vanished in the past 2 days.

Well I’m glad ttks has decided to stick around. I do think I’m done hiding and will stick to finding. I’m still very new and was just getting around to the hiding aspect. Maybe once this all calms down, I can back to the drawing board on a Gone in Sixty Seconds multi.

    DeputyDog,

Thanks for sticking up for me in the Press Gazette article comments. Appreciate it.

Anytime. I didn’t like the bashing that was going on and then them using wrong info.

The three times I’ve seen the men in blue, they were pretty understanding about what I was doing. My concern is going to be more for the CO than me doing the caches. I can always explain to the cops what I’m doing, but if I’m already gone by the time they get there, who knows.

Unfortunately I just got an alert on my watchlist of a cache being archived. Looks like tkks pulled all theirs. Sorry to see them go.

Actually, I wouldn’t be surprised if a bunch of new cachers spawn from this. Obviously people are going to be interested in finding out what this geocaching thing is that was mentioned in all the articles. Once they read up on it, who knows. I don’t think they would have detonated it otherwise they would not have known it was a geocache since it was just a log in a film canister.

Apparently someone on the press gazette forum is reading these posts as they linked this thread on their forum. I posted the cache link over there so they could see what suspicious item (since June 2009) that they had to blow up.

It wasn’t like this was a new cache either. It’s been out since June of last year and had over 90 visits. Guess I’ll have to wear a sign that says I’m geocaching so the same doesn’t happen when I’m out caching in parks.
