I thought i used gsak, but now can’t figure out how to get the map. Will try your other suggestion
Thanksi will try that
Garmin 62. Running a pq doesn’t help since i am on a mac and cannot use gsak. I have started to use garmin base camp but need more time with it. I was just looking for a quick download
still for sale. will have it at the wga campout
It is very simple to add back deleted menu items. To do this please follow the instructions below:
Power on the device and go to the main menu
Press the menu button
Select change item order
Scroll to the bottom and choose add page
Repeat step 4 until all needed icons have been added
Press menu twice to return to the main menu
*If you would like to restore defaults, after step 3, press menu and choose restore defaults. They sure don’t make it easy. I couldn’t handle the Oregon. This one is better, but it lacks a few things.
By the way, does it do car routing, with beeps for turns like the 60 did?i found that my tech savvyness was getting put to the test. i realized i needed a simpler unit. i just like my older unit better.
the oregon has a lot of different settings and on the fly i couldn’t remember how to use them.file is there. i tried to use the map to go to florida. some of the caches were there, but not all.
i’m finding the 600 hard to use. many times i have to remove the batteries to unlock a locked screen. and it’s not as intuitive as they make it seem.
i’ll try your suggestions and see it it helps.findstatsgen3 looks like a winner. thanks a lot
never thought of that. i’ll take a look
got it figured out. i put the icons in every conceivable location, and then tweaked the macro using the edit feature. finally got the icons to work
ok, nevermind. they have made some nice changes to the gc site since i last did a route. made it really easy to get what you need.
i think it is more a garmin poi problem
thanks, those are exactly what i was looking for.
