We plan on going on holiday up in superior in 2 weeks. We were wondering if anyone has any caches that they recomend we do while we are there. Let us know we will be staying at pattison state park.

If you don’t want to cross the border into MN, the only caches I would recommend are the ones at Pattison and Amnicon (though I haven’t done the Pattison ones myself) or any on Wisconsin point.

We got all of the caches this morning, except 2, as we ran out of time. I did enjoy them and glad that you pointed them out. Thanks!!

I’m going to be in the area in 2 weeks, doing a couple of Jasmer caches… will have to drive down there to try these caches out… thanks for pointing them out! 😀

I should add Hartley Park to this list of areas to hit… of course, I’m partial to my Root Cellar GC17BRM Bring a flashlight, maybe, lol.

Any caches on the Superior Hiking Trail are really nice… I just did Ten Foot WaterFall and an Anchor bolt GC150T1, and that was a nice little area. Enger Park has a few nice caches and views. Easy walking with little ones, there are about 25 quick grabs along the Lake Walk from Canal Park to Brighton Beach.

I’ve enjoyed doing some of the MN State Park challenges, even if I didn’t make it to every park…but, quite a lot of people did and I think it’s a great idea. Now that I’m on the “inside” of the WI DNR, managing one of the parks, I wouldn’t mind being involved with promoting and planning one for the WI State Parks, but first I need to pass probation, lol.

That’s great! Feel free to PM Walking Adventure or myself (or any BOD really) about this project, what you know, what you’d like to do, etc. Thanks! Which park do you work at?

I’m the new Park Ranger/Assistant Park Manager for Amnicon Falls and I’ll be helping out at Pattison, or might get stuck running that one too depending on how fast positions get filled/vacated…though right now I’m in the middle of attending a Law Enforcement academy at Ft. McCoy as part of the position. There are also 4 other new PR/AP here at the academy recently hired for different parks, so I’ll already have connections when/if it gets to the point of setting up a state-wide challenge.
